  4. My surgeon requires clear liquid as well. The higher your BMI, the more your liver needs to shrink. Hang in there! You can do this!
  5. Here's a video I made about questions to ask your surgeon! Hope it helps! Congratulations on your decision to better your health & best of luck on your journey!
  6. I have been putting unflavored whey protein in my hot broth. It dissolves and I don't even know it's there, but it keeps me full. Best of luck to you on your journey! You've got this!
  7. You are so funny!!!! Best wishes to your husband and to you!! Can't wait to hear all about your experience and journey!
  8. The doctor's authorization will tell them your requirements. Just hang in there and go through the process.
  9. Thank you! Even if you're post op, you might qualify because we will need protein & vitamins for the rest of our lives! I'm so thankful for this community. I feel so prepared for my post op life thanks to all of your knowledge & wisdom!
  10. The entire process took about 2 weeks. I called my surgeon's office and gave them a head's up that insurenutrition would be faxing them a form to fill out. My surgeon was more than happy to oblige and is happy to be able to refer his clients to this awesome resource! I would call insure directly with specific coverage or process questions. They are quite helpful! Good luck!
  11. Guys, I am a skeptic, but I decided to try to get my pre op and post op protein shakes and vitamins covered by my insurance through insurenutrition.com and guess what??? I was approved and received my first shipment today! 4 cases of 18 premier protein shakes and a month's supply of liquid vitamins!!! No copay, no shipping & handling! Freeeeeee They will continue to deliver once a month during my prescription period. (Must renew with your surgeon every 7 months!)

  13. I'm certain that I'm probably over-prepared, but I would never use the word "minimalist" to describe me. Lol. Best of luck in your road to better health!
  14. Thanks for the shout out! It's great to be known for my bodily secretions! Lol!! I think your list of dread is completely normal and I'm so thankful that we have a place to voice them and work through them pre and post op! We are family- all my brother, sisters and me! Lol. #TooMuchCoffee Anyway, one of my friends told me today that she is excited for me to lose lbs, but worries that I will lose myself and my personality. It stung a little, but maybe that's because she has a point. My fear is losing the best parts of me... My humor, compassion and love for others as I take this time for the first time in my life to focus on myself. I'm pretty sure the same soul will be staring in the mirror back at me. Well wishes to all & thanks for the support!
  15. Thank you all! I've ordered a few sample packs and have picked up several at the Vitamin Shoppe! I think I'm good- just need to get some unflavored to mix in with my broth. Thanks again- you guys rock!
  16. ((Hugs)) You are going to do this! Your amazing body has been through a lot and the scale will move when your body is ready. We all believe in you & support you! Can't wait to watch your journey unfold.
  17. Yes! You're in the home stretch. Glad you're feeling better and getting that protein in! Sending hugs & prayers!
  18. My Dear Nancy, You will remain in my thoughts and prayers this week and always. You are very brave and I am proud of you for making this decision to better your health. Make a list of all of the wonderful blessings in your life so you can think on those things. I keep thinking how much more I'll be able to do for my loved ones and for myself when I'm a healthier me. My life is so richly blessed now, but this is only the beginning for you and for me! Stay positive, trust God and do your best! Oh, and keep us posted on your recovery. You're going to do great- I just know it! Love & prayers, Ashlee
  19. For all of you ladies out there! http://youtu.be/pcWNrh8yqOA
  20. Great question! I have an ample bosom as well and will be wearing just a soft cup bra home. Whatever you're most comfortable with though. I also have a bra that hooks in the front that I also contemplated wearing. Good luck and Godspeed to you...and your twins!
  21. Sending hugs and prayers your way! You've got this! Keep us updated!!!
