InsureNutrition.com it works! :)

Guys, I am a skeptic, but I decided to try to get my pre op and post op protein shakes and vitamins covered by my insurance through insurenutrition.com and guess what??? I was approved and received my first shipment today! 4 cases of 18 premier protein shakes and a month's supply of liquid vitamins!!! No copay, no shipping & handling! Freeeeeee They will continue to deliver once a month during my prescription period. (Must renew with your surgeon every 7 months!) :)

The doctor's authorization will tell them your requirements. Just hang in there and go through the process.

Thank you! Even if you're post op, you might qualify because we will need protein & vitamins for the rest of our lives! I'm so thankful for this community. I feel so prepared for my post op life thanks to all of your knowledge & wisdom!

Didn't work for Tricare

I went there just to see if I'm eligible, which I haven't found out yet. Now I just got an email that they are sending a prescription to my Dr to be signed. WTF , I didn't sign up for anything, they don't even know my dosages. I do not like this.

Just got mine the other day, I want to share with those who get denied not to worry I was denied and the rep told me they keep your info on file and run it every month for approval, and I guess they do because I got an email saying I was now approved and liquid vitamins and scar cream and four cases of shakes were delivered, my only problem is they sent all chocolate so they ask what I would like for the following month so I chose strawberry and vanilla...for me vanilla is more versatile with fruit and sugar free syrups....good luck all and remember to give them your insurance prescription plan info....xo

Ok I probably gave them the wrong info then. My prescription card is different than my insurance card.

They called me. The prescription is required so they can tell your insurance what the doctor is prescribing and see if they will cover it.

Oh ok. I misunderstood then. You think they'd explain that. Thanks :)

Unable to get on website.

Will try again tomorrow. Thanks for the tip.
