Hi everyone! I've been MIA for a while. Lots going on! I'm doing fine. At 2 weeks out I had lost 18 lbs. Feeling pretty good too. Getting in all my Protein, Vitamins, Water, etc. Knee problems have kept me from walking but I think I may have that figured out. If not, another surgery is in my future! Ick! I haven't been able to keep up with posts but I'm at the hospital with my daughter right now so I may have some time to catch up. I go back to work part time this Wednesday. Really looking forward to it too! I'm glad I like my job. I hope everyone is doing well! Have a happy Monday!

Hubby just got Domino's Pizza delivered with cinnastix. You know what? I'm so not interested! Yesterday my best friend came up and took me to some stores. She wanted Roy Rogers. I took my protein shake in with me and sat with her while she ate a roast beef sandwich and a shake. This was hard but I'm not giving up my social life over food! Woohoo!
-
Good luck to everyone! Woohoo!

@@Beni they even threw in beef. I know I'm very blessed to be able to tolerate these things.

I'm home! I felt pretty good the day of surgery and the second day was good too. The next day wasn't so great. I was a bit more nauseous than the previous days so they allowed me to stay one more night. I still walked and walked and walked. My surgeon puts us on pureed food two days after surgery. I can tolerate chicken, carrots, turkey, broccoli and even sausage! I'm thrilled with this. Each meal consisted of about a tablespoon of protein and a tablespoon of veggie. It took me over a half hour to eat each meal. I'm not having problems with any of it so far...knock wood! It's nice to be home and figure out my routine. I'm more than pleased with having this surgery. Just remember to walk walk walk walk. I was up every time they took my vitals. Every 4 hours! Walking definitely helps! Sip water constantly. I was always a fast eater. I inhaled food! This is not going to be easy but I'm still so happy I did this. All pre-ops, you got this!

@@Beni what a great way to put it! So glad you have your girl cave all set up! I'm a bit limited but I'm working with it!
-
@naynay31. Where are you having surgery? I'm at Fair Oaks. Hope all is well!
-
Well folks, this was surprisingly easy! I definitely had pain and a bit of nausea but they were so well managed that it's been very good! I'm still loopy but doing well! Even had my first walk. So that's it for now. Just wanted to let y'all know! Thanks everyone for being here! Sorry for typos!
