  1. You Go Becky, coodoos to you. I like that dancing thing also, when songs come on or videos I like I will dance. You are doing a great job, keep it up. I also want to help people once I loose more weight. I am so excited. I lost 5 pounds last night at my weekly weigh in which brings me down a whopping 50 pounds. Hey, just like Kirsty Alley, except hers look better. LOL I am so excited. Keep it up Becky or should I say down.
  2. Jessie sSTOP STOP PLEASE STOP YOU ARE KILLING ME. DDRRROOOOLLLLIIIINNNGGGGGG OMGOODNESS, UUHHHHHHHH. Cook for me pleaseeeeeeeeee. Now I have to print all of these out. THANK YOU THANK YOU
  3. I like your doctor Sherrie. They spelled it out real simple. I'm glad that part is over and then again I'm not. With those stages you see the weight coming off, just keep up your walking.
  4. Hi Carrie I am so sorry to hear about what is going on. I have been there. I left my husband when my daughter was 1 month old due to a lot of mental abuse and some physical abuse. You are doing the right thing. You are awesome woman, look at all that you are doing. Creating a secure environment for your child, bettering yourself with education and a Master's degree at that, you are taking control of your body and you are not allowing someone to belittle you, knowing that you are a queen. Carrie keep your head up and move forward in every aspect of your life. You are a queen and you deserve to be treated as such by anyone you come in contact with and by yourself. Treat yourself like a queen just like you treat your child like a little prince or princess. Everything takes times even peace. I pray that your issues with your husband can be resolved with some couple counseling because God created the sanctity of marriage and I do not want to step on his toes. But don't be a fool and stick around if things are not going to change. You are an awesome woman. Write that down "I am an Awesome Woman" . Remember that when things are hard and that God is not going to give you more then you can bare. You are not the only one going through this, millions of woman are and have sung the same song, but they are still here to say they survived. Call a shelter or your church and get information if need be. Not that you need somewhere to stay but they can give advice on getting help, support, encouragement. Everyones situtation is a little diffrent. Of course it is going to be hard to eat sensibly right now but don't let your banding be in vain. Try to plan your meal in your head for the day. If you need help with that ask someone here. Don't deny yourself of something good. There are some quick meals on the food thread and there are some fast foods that can work also. Carrie you are an "Awesome Woman". Your Lap Band family is here and we pray for you and with you. You can and will do everything you set your mind to.
  5. I do understand, I was there and my mind was working against me. I started practicing the Lap Band rules. Chew slowly, take small bites, and I had to cut out fast food. That made me meal plan. Then I began eating less and less. Began drinking one shake a day as a meal replacement. I would try not to eat until I was actually hungry with stomach growling and pain and all. It helped me to cut back on my eating and I found out that food is not the most important think on earth.
  6. WOW Becky that is awesome!!!!! Since April...... that is amazing. Tell me your story. How much did you start at? How did you loose it? How do you eat? Did you have any major problems? Do you exercise? Shareeeeee Please......
  7. Oh Kari you are too funny. You are crazy. You got me wanting a corn dog. You can lick but I will chew it up and spit it out. ppppiiiitttttttt ummmm that was a good dog. LMBO
  8. Congratulations Erica I am here if you need someone to talk to. The band is a great tool to help slow down your eating. I have a love/hate relationship with my band "poochy". I know she is good for me and it is what I need but needless to say I want to at destuctively sometimes but she keeps me in check. It is not easy to learn these hard lessons but we will appreciate at them in the end. Thank you Johnette, I will keep that in mind.
  9. Oh wow, ok My brother and his wife went to the olympic games there. Where you able to enjoy any of the hoopla.
  10. Topsy57 you could call it Dom for dominatrix- it controls you. LOL
  11. LMBO that was fun and funny. I never say grammers or drams until Pink Mary mentioned it yesterday. Then I gave my neighbors kids their medicine and looked at the measuring cups and drams was on it. Pink Mary where are you from. Is that metric measurement.
  12. Hey, stop reading my mind. We sent that at the same time. It depends on how much the can holds. It it 8 oz is 64 drams or 3840 minms or 226g
  13. 1/2 can of what
  14. Not really. I eat whatever the band likes. It does not care for bread, rice, chicken, broccoli sometimes, oh there is a whole list of stuff. I try to watch carbs after all of that. When all else fails drink your water to stary hydrated and drink your protein shakes for your nutrients. There will be somedays that "bandy" won't let you have anything but liquids.
  15. Dee Dee you are so right. I have high blood pressure and when a doctor puts you on a low sodium diet, you should have not more then 2,000mg a day. With one of these meals you have consumed almost of your sodium. You need to take everything into consideration when eating and drinking. There is sodium in everything including your drinks.
  16. Just good ol decorative crap. Stick them in dirt. LOL
  17. Stouffers baked chicken breast and mashed potatoes. Caloriess 250 Fat 10 Cholesterol 55 Sodium 750 Carbs 20 Sugars 2 Protein 20 I don't think this isn't too bad for one meal. This is the only chicken that I can get down easily. The chicken is so tender it can't be chicken LOL. They also have a lasgna bake that I like. Ummmm Ummmm Quick, easy, cheap.
