  1. Waa haa haa!!!!! She is a freakazoid!! And the scary thing is, the few times I have met her when she sat for patients in our unit, I was TOTALLY fooled by her!! Scaaaaaary!!!
  2. Will do!! I will ask my therapist if he will give all my equally nutty friends a discount!!
  3. Oh, and I agree-my tolerance for stupidity and crazy people is at an all time low right now. Colorado Crazy fits right into that category so....
  4. I think we need to find therapists and plastic surgeons that will give us a group discount!! Since we all need our moods and our boobs lifted! :smile2:
  5. Well, it IS almost Halloween time, so we will fit right in!! (Why oh why don't they have a smiley with a little witch hat?)
  6. I am glad you cancelled your surgery since you didn't feel comfortable, but I wanted to tell you that I have needed approximately $1800 worth of fills/unfills in the first year. So it is not unheard of. My fill doc initially charged $335 a fill when he was in another practice, so that added up pretty quickly.
  7. That chick Colorado Crazy was just in another post extolling the virtues of her surgeon and how wonderful he is. I pointed out to her that for all she rips on Dr.K, her surgeons program sounds exactly like his!! Hmmmm..... And she also said that you can reach her surgeon ANYTIME via cell phone. Being a nurse, that one just made me laugh my arse off!! Good luck with that one honey!!! (Ok, so I am being a little bitchy but come on, she had it coming...)
  8. Wow Colorado Crazy, for all that you ripped on Dr.K, your docs program sure sounds JUST like his!! And the day you can reach a surgeon ANYTIME will be the day pigs fly!! I am an ICU nurse so I am well aquainted with how well you can reach doctors... (For anyone wondering about the hostility of my post, it is because this one likes to visit the thread about my doc and openly bash him. We love our surgeon and don't really appreciate her opinion so much...)
  9. I have never had any problem until today when I wore my new jeans from the Gap. They are the Essential jean, and they have more of a mid rise than a low rise, and everytime I sit down the waist of them is rubbing on my port and irritating it. I have never had any problems with my bra though.
  10. Yes she is. She was very relieved that she didn't have to sit by Shawn in her class this year!:smile2: And you know, now that I am thinking about it, when I was growing up one of the kids in our neighborhood who was an absolute TERROR was named Shawn also. The evidence is piling up!!
  11. Forgot to answer this one earlier...I hope she doesn't start talking about me either because she is obviously nuts. But....in the hierarchy of nurses vs. patient sitters...the nurse is going to win. :bored: Maybe I should have your husband take over my divorce case from Florida-I am sure he could still get more done than my incompetent lawyer here is doing!!!!! (I have about had it with THAT situation also!!! And this is supposed to be one of the "best" law firms and attorneys in town! Who is best friends with my uncle who is a judge. Just goes to show it doesn't really matter who you know after all...)
  12. When it rains, it pours. I have all these bills I need to pay, some of them need to be paid today, and for the first time in 10 years, my paycheck did not come in the mail on Thursday afternoon like it usually does like clockwork. Sigh... I am taking my last 6 bucks and getting some Ben & Jerrys. To hell with it!!:smile2: No seriously, I am going to go to my cute little Grammys house for one of her delicious homecooked dinners, then I will just have to hope it comes tomorrow and didn't get lost by the post office. Because that would suck!!
  13. BTW Tally, I forgot to reply that no, she is not an actual nurse, otherwise this would be an even far more serious situation. She could actually be reported to the board of nursing for an ethics violation if she were, and be formally disciplined for it.
  14. There are ways around that, I was alone after my procedure. I just had to have someone pick me up from the hospital. (Thank you again Dee!) But, I think he kind of made an exception since I am a nurse also. I am not sure.
  15. That is soooo funny because my friend Jen has a daughter who has a classmate named Shawn who drives her CRAZY. And these are 9 year olds! Her daughters theory is that everyone named Shawn is crazy because being an observative 9 year old she has observed that my Shawn is crazy also.:smile2: Kids are so funny.
  16. I might let you. I don't really know what to do. I honestly don't care that he is seeing her outside the hospital, but I do have a serious issue that she is disclosing these things to mental health patients. I feel like I have an ethical duty to report it, but it will make Shawn go psycho. Well, MORE psycho!!
  17. She does have her own issues...her husband is an ER doctor in our hospital, and she told my husband all kinds of inappropriate things about her husband that could really damage his reputation. Even if they are true things, she still shouldn't be telling patients about them. I mean, this was hardcore stuff-she told my husband that her husband was fired from his last job for coming to work drunk, that he likes child porn, and that he tried to kill her. My response to this was (after telling him it was inappropriate for her to be telling him these things) "Why is she still with him then?" And my immediate reaction after hearing that she told him all this stuff is "Wow, this lady has issues!! She is kooky herself! And we let her sit with suicide attempt patients all the time! YIKES!" But, like I said, it didn't sit right with me then. Very, very inappropriate in my opinion. There are a few patients that are my patients frequently that know things about my personal life, but I would never tell them any of the gruesome things. It is all benign stuff like how my sister is in the Marine Corp, that I have five dogs, etc....there is one patient who knows what a shit my husband is, but that is because he was my patient the night that my husband smashed his car into a tree when he was drunk and I had to leave to go the ER. The patients room was right across from the desk, he was awake, and he heard people talking about it. He is just supportive of me and tells me I need to leave Shawn because he is never going to get any better. He is kind of a grandfatherly type that always sends flowers to our unit after he has been there, or orders us pizza, so I don't take offense if he says anything about it.
  18. Cool!! You always find the best pictures!!
  19. Well, of course I actually did already tell him that!!!! And I wish he would!!! But from a professional standpoint I think that is incredibly inappropriate of her as someone that was sitting with him in a mental health situation. When she was sitting with him in the hospital she told him alot of things about her personal life that I didn't feel were appropriate either. I don't know, as a nurse, it just doesn't sit right with me. Inappropriate boundaries with a patient I guess....
  20. Cool! I'll just have to figure out which ballgown to wear now! (Just kidding!)
  21. Yep, I need to remove myself from the Ben & Jerrys mailing list!! They call it "Chunk Mail"! LOL!!
  22. I'll fly to NC to see Dave with you on a weeknight!!! :crying:
  23. That is awesome!! My dream wedding proposal!!
  24. Is he related to my husband? It sounds like they have the same stalker gene or something. And maybe I can get a group discount if you fly here and go to my therapist! Let me ask you something....my soon to be ex just told me he has been seeing the sitter that sat with him while he was in the hospital outside the hospital. I think that is awfully inappropriate of her....what do you think?
