I will be 6 weeks post op on Saturday and leave Sunday on a 7 day cruise. As far as food I'm going to stick with soft foods for that week. But my physical activities will be limited....everything I want to do somehow uses my core.
I chose to have the surgery prior to the cruise because I was so ready to get started on the new me. I'll be hitting re ocean 35lbs lighter

I'm open to weekends as well. But will still participate if it's during the week.

Thanks for the images...they really show the impact of the plank. Can't wait to be cleared to do them. Only 2 1/2 weeks out at this point.

I'm going on a cruise at the six week mark as well. Sleeved on 6/28 and the cruise leaves 8/10. I will have just started solid food per my post op plan. I'm mostly concerned with staying hydrated since it will be hot and humid at the stops. We are driving not flying to the port so I don't know if that makes a difference. My surgeon says I will be fine. As for the food I'll take Protein shakes/powder with me and just do my best. I've been on several cruises so I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything and I know there is a wide variety of food for me to work with.

I am two weeks post op as well and this past week the acid has been horrendous. Originally I was taking Pepcid AC chewable so but they did nothing for me and I was taking lots of tums on top of it. My surgeon has switched me to Previcid capsules and each day it is getting better and I'm taking fewer tums. Packaging says it can take 1-4 days to provide the full effect.

I'm having trouble sipping slowly as well. I guess it's because the swelling in my sleeve had gone down.

Edit to my previous reply...my surgery was Saturday June 28th....guess I'm still a little foggy lol

I had my surgery on 6/28 and came home several pounds heavier due to the IV fluids ...still have 2 more to lose to get to my surgery weight. Overall feel good. Struggle with staying awake long enough to get in the amount of fluids recommended by my surgeon. He fixed a hiatal hernia when he did my sleeve. I'll be on Clear Liquids the first week and full liquids the following 2 weeks. I am so happy I did this and am looking forward to seeing the pounds drop off.

Hi ...so happy for you guys and the progress you have made. Today my surgeon changed my date from 6/30 to 6/28....excited and nervous. Was to start my pre op diet 10-12 days before surgery ...so that means today for 12 days...oops lol

My surgery has been moved up from 6/30 to 6/28. So excited and thankful that it wasn't postponed instead

I take Previcid OTC twice a day. I snip off the top of the capsule and either take with applesauce or just pour the beads on my tongue and take with Water. No aftertaste
