My date is January 5th also. Started my pre-op liquid diet on Sunday the 21st. I'm doing pretty good with it. It gets easier as the days go by. Good luck to you!

I like stevia in the truvia form. Less aftertaste. I love love love the crystal light with truvia in it.

I am 5'7" and am hopeing to fit into a size 12 pants at some point and maybe a size 10 dress. If I do better ten that's a bonus!

@@memat6, I am the 29th for VSG as well !! Did you start a liquid diet today? I did... it went better then I had imagine it would. Hopefully we can keep trucking right along until our big day

I start the liquid diet Monday the 15th and surgery the 29th. I'm excited but nervous about the liquid diet.Anybody scheduled for the 29th?

I am finally schedualed for the 29th of September. I was schedualed for August 21st but had some delays and now finally get to do it September 29th! Yay! How's your liquid diet going! I'm on liquids too!

I buy the new crystal light true with truvia!!! Its sooooooyummy an lots of flavors! Tastes so much better than regular crystal light. No after taste,. Love love love it!!! Truvia tastes better than plain stevia, no bad aftertaste!

Your gonna do awsome! I'm nervous about the pain afterwards. My surgery is next Thursday the 21st! Very scared too. I know its very normal to feel nervous and scared. Welcome to the losers bench, I'm with ya there too, along with many many more of us!

I hope things work out for you. I too deal with mental health issues, I have been cleared by everyone to have surgery. Cleared by everyone that is except my husband, he wants me happy yet he is worried about my mental health going foward with the sleeve on the 21st of august.I know he is just worried about what's best for me. Ugh, what to do!

I take Celebrate brand bariatric Vitamins. They are pretty good. Good enough I can chew em down. They have different flavors. I take a multi with Iron and a Calcium one.Best of luck finding one you like.

You are not selfish, I just think its unrealistic to change everyone elses eating options. I feel it may be more difficult for you with those tempting foods around but its not fair to say they can't have it because you choose wls. You and me too just have to discipline ourselves and make changes that are good for us. You can do it! Stay strong and remember there are tons of us out here going through this too! I chose the sleeve because I did not feel I wanted to reroute my plumbing. Also felt I could keep my Vitamins and minerals easier in check. I also take extended release meds and you cannot take extended release with RNY, so I chose the sleeve. Best of luck to you.

Hi there everyone! I too am haveing my surgery at Alexian Brothers in Elk Grove August 21st. Hope all is going good with everyone here. Very excited but nervous which I heard is normal.

Where I am getting my surgery the give you a Teddy Bear pillow to support your stomach after surgery, so it must help. Its like a souviner for my new beginning!

I just tell them that Ive tried all the diets out there more than once and I do exercise, but Ive done my research and I am happy with my choice to get the sleeve. I am doing what is going to help me get healthy again! They usually hush up and don't bother me again with a statement like that! I don't hide the fact that Im getting bariatric surgery at all. Im proud and loud about it! LOL
