  3. I'm just a couple of weeks behind you, AggieGal08, and I know what you mean. I'm trying to concentrate on other changes in my life...like being more active and having new experiences. Maybe get new hobbies so not only will I have a great new body but mentally and emotionally I'll be so much better too.
  4. Good for you, Tamlyn! I agree that right now you need to take care of recovering and feeling better. I'll be 6 weeks out on Monday and I'm starting to feel better. The anesthesia and sugery are so hard on your body and now I know it takes this long to really get over that. Love yourself and take care. Best of luck!

  9. I have a similar experience in that I don't sleep more than a few hours but I can usually fall asleep again within an hour. Have you tried something for white noise? I sleep with a box fan on in my room and it seems to help me fall asleep.
  10. I didn't mean to imply people here think this is an easy fix. I just wish my pre-op classes, doctor, etc could have been a bit more realistic. They say you get full fast. How about saying it doesnt feel like you're full but rather that you will be in pain and wishing you could vomit what you just ate. Or that you need to nearly constantly sip your water in order to get all of it in every day. Or that you will feel completely overwhelmed for weeks.
  11. Pre-surgery I was all about diet Pepsi....haven't had one since and its been 5 weeks. I tried but it actually hurt to drink it. I have noticed a big change in my taste and appetite but really I was able to give it up because it just doesnt feel good to drink soda.
  12. I'm 5 weeks post sleeve and 26 pounds down. I have gotten clinically dehydrated, have trouble keeping my blood sugar high enough and most days I have dizzy spells. This is not a quick or easy fix for weight loss. While I don't regret my decision, anyone looking to do this needs to realize there is nothing easy about it!
  13. Hi! I got my sleeve June 30 by Dr. Neace in Huntington WV.

  15. Hi Scarlett. Don't worry at all what others think, they're just jealous! Besides, its none of their business whether you've had surgery. Tell them your food and exercise plan and tell them to give it a whirl.
  16. Thank you! I have surgery in 2 weeks and I will definitely ask. Hope you're doing great!
  17. Congrats, Megpie! I'm having surgery 2 weeks from today and hope to have similar success. Keep up the good work.
