I will Be 66 in July. I am not retired yet n do not plan on this for a few years. I have not been under 200 lbs in 20 yrs. I have decided to have sleeve surgery. I have been to a surgeon, I have to lose an additional 10 lbs., I have Ben for two support group meetings and trying to complete the process for my surgery. I am very frightened of complications. I do not have the support of my husband so it makes it a little more difficult. I am determined to complete this journey n I love this support group and reading all about your obstacles n successes. Oh thank you, thank you so much for the very kind words. Is this not amazing we are in our mid sixties n the some n we are striving to stay healthy. I am a nurse n educate all the time on he importance of diet n exercise but I feel like a hypocrite. I need to be a role model n want to be healthy. Thank you all you are so amazing. Kudos n wow.

Never too late! I had my surgery on Oct 3,2012 just 11 days shy of my 68th birthday. I just had my one year visit with my surgeon last Thur, the day after my 69th birthday. Bloodwork is perfect and weight loss is 92 lbs. Best gift I could ever give myself. Feel like the 60's are the new 40's now. Live on...
