  1. I think it depends on the type if WLS you had. If you had gastric bypass the reason you can't have coffee is the tannic acid that puts you at risk for ulcers. If you had Gastric Sleeve I think you can. I am having gastric bypass and that is what my dr told me.

  2. I love this recipe. 1 pound turkey sausage browned and drained in a large skillet. One you have a lid for.

Add 1 1/2 cups sliced potatoes.

Top with 3 cups shredded cabbage and sprinkle on Italian seasoning. I use about 2 tbsp.

add about 1/2 c Water. Put the lid on and turn on med and steam. Stir occasionally and cook until potatoes are tender and cabbage is cooked. This makes 3 servings. Each time you reheat it gets better!!

  3. I know how you feel. I felt the same way. My surgery is next week and I was told by my doctor to stop caffeine 2 weeks before so I am one week down. First day I felt a little tired. Day 2 a slug! Day3 headache day 4 less. Day 5 a little more energy. Day 6 headache again and day 7 feel fine. It wasn't as bad as I thought. I now wake up and jump in the shower and don't even think about it!! You san do this ! It just showed me how addicted to food and drinks I am. It also showed me I can overcome them all. My surgery is on July 3. My new Independence Day!!!

  4. I decided the truth is the best for me. I told my boss and he was very supportive. He said I'm proud if you for doing something to improve your health. I would tell your boss the truth. If she has questions...educate her. You could start by saying you know how I've been fighting thus immunodeficiency? Well I'm at my max dose of meds so now my dr thinks wls will help by losing the weight it will improve my disorder. That's the truth and may help her understand the link between the two.
