Me too! I also think it is mindgames, since I too can sometimes grab a yogurt after a meal and work it in.
@@patticake1448, I'm sorry, but that sucks!

I wish we had more Brians in our office, rather than the blond barbies that enrage my motivation :-) I'm sorry for your loss, warmed by your memories.

I can't bring myself to by the white water....ick. Is this such a BAD place to 'cheat' on? I weigh and measure everything and am super careful with everything I take in.

I'm in the purees stage now and I'm chewing it - it turns to puree instantly in my mouth.

I think that after moving into the purees, I realized that I couldn't eat past 2-3 ounces at a time. I am exercising restraint with the yogurt, since it seems to go down easily no matter what came before it.

I've made it with many different kinds. Each one will look slightly different, but always predictably Delicious.

Although I am in the pureed stages now, I am able to eat these because as soon as I chew it once, it turns to puree. <--chew with discretion, know yourself!Directions:Place a sheet of parchment paper on a large oven pan. tear/cut cheese into postage-stamp size pieces and space them at least an inch apart on the parchment paper. Add your favorite spices (black pepper, chopped onions, olives) and bake on 450 for less than five minutes.Check every minute to see when it puffs up. The moment it does, it will turn brown in the next minute. Grab it and place it in the fridge to cool and preserve the 'bubble'. When it settles, it will be crispy. -

Well, I did a six week pre-op diet and reached the required weight loss after three weeks. I was then cleared for surgery. What haunts me is that I starved myself (painfully!) while waiting for the surgery, when I could've bid farewell to some sporadic unwise choices, just for old times sakes.

Not having a team on your side is going to continue to make you miserable. Is moving out of the question? Also, is it financially smart to consider flying rather than driving (once a month) so that it can be your 'treat day' and still remain living where you are now?

Week 3 post RNY, GERD and Crohn's seem to have vanished!

Being that I look at least ten years younger than I really am.... I'll go with 37

Thursday I was two weeks post op, and had totaled to 19 lbs since the surgery. It feels so slow and painstaking, but upon reflection, it does add up to more than a pound a day. In my previous life, if I lost a pound after one week of weight watchers, I was ecstatic. So when you put the two lifestyles side by side, there is no way one can become sad about this new version.

I'd eat myself to exhaustion so that it wouldn't haunt me today.

I cooked before my surgery and prepared many 2 oz food portions in advance. I ate my special "chicken zucchini souffle" many times, but today my body was not happy. I wonder if it was underlying anxiety just making me reject anything (I did wake up without an appetite). I wonder though if the vengeance that it passed with... if that is considered dumping? Or is dumping only for fat and sugar? I'm so confused. I don't know this body yet!

I've been on purees for a week. I've had some saltyish foods, but it has hit me so hard that I needed to satisfy it. It honestly helped.

I have been craving salty foods the last few days (I am 3 weeks post op today). I finally looked the the pirate's booty cheddar puffs and they have 2 grams of Protein per ounce serving. I dropped one piece into my chicken broth and it melted. I wonder if that can be motivation to work through the broth for liquid Protein. It doesn't even need to be chewed

Last night I finally went out for the first time, and was to play a game with some friends. We laughed so so hard, for so many hours. I did clutch a pillow the entire time, but boy am I sore there. It feels like I delivered a cow between two of the incisions. Two of them had WLS and assured me that I will NOT pop a staple from laughing. Scary stuff.

I lost 18 lbs since RNY 13 days ago. I am okay with the pace of my weight loss. Prior to RNY I was a dry-toast-crispy-crunchy person. Now, I am resigning to a life of mush. Eeeow

I never considered anything besides for gastric bypass. I am on day 13 and lost 18 pounds since the surgery, 36 lbs total.

That's how I am coping for now. I chew everything until it becomes puréed (not blending the cottage cheese, for example)
19g Mediterranean Feast
in Purée (stage 2)
