    Is being frustrated normal?

I just want to hide in a yogurt corner...
  2. Day 4, and I got a 6 oz yogurt in over a span of nine hours. I'm elated to be back on food. I've been on Water for days! After the yogurt, I heated up 4 oz of a broth concoction that I cooked weeks ago in advance. I'm in heaven. This broth is chicken Soup from scratch, greek yogurt, mashed potato, and minced onions. mmmmmmmm

    Albany, New York....?

I run a secret group for autism professionals. Invitations must be sent to the facebook-email. I would only join if it was secret.
  4. No! No! No! (I'm having a tantrum for you here in New York)

    Lost and alone

Third time's the charm. I'm rooting for you! Never ever give up. We all arrive to our goal by stepping through giant mud puddles. Just find some cute new galoshes and stomp away!
  6. Somehow, watching my body cope with its new plumbing and still daring to form little poopies is making me feel like a mama watching her infant take its first steps! Shall we say, I am so beaming-proud of my guts?
  7. Jeepers. Okay. Will do. Thank you.
  8. Since day 2, I've been having what google claims is "double breathing". Those are sudden random and involuntary giants breaths that children usually have after a long bout of sobbing. Google claims it can occur after crying, hyperventilating, or panic attacks. All I had was surgery! It is very uncomfortable, as I cannot prepare for them, and the pain is enormous. For a cough, I can grab a pillow. For these breaths, I can only wince and shudder. What the heck? I wonder if it's part of my 'mild' asthma?
  9. Hurray! My 7/1 (which was rescheduled for the 7th, and made me mad) has been pushed back to 6/26. JUNE 2014'ers, here I come!

Day 4, and am euphoric that I had real food today with a real spoon!
  11. I have no idea. That can't be good. Call the doctors?
  12. That's it. I just wanted to say that

@@Writerjennifer "tents covered in paisley" I'm 4 days post-op, it hurts to laugh so hard!!!!!
  17. 4 days post-op. I have no idea what these body messages are, so I don't know how to respond. Every tiny sip of liquid that I take makes me feel like I will explode. I walk it off, burp, and try again. Finally got 18 oz in today, but I have such strange sensations, anywhere from chest pains, to tightening, to "I think i will rupture" to old feelings of hunger pangs. I don't know if I should keep sipping or stop. Right now my mouth is so dry that I am frightened about dehydration. But I'm also frightened about over-pushing. I really don't know what I am feeling!
  18. That sounds yummy. How did you do it? Did you just sip until it all went down? I've been working on a yogurt for the past 7 hours. Every baby spoon (plus a ten minute walk) feels like I pigged out at the Dragon Buffet!
  19. LOL! Given my fascination with psycholinguistics, I am delighted to add Pouch as my eight language to learn. Yippee!
  20. OMG thanks for the laugh, that was so eloquently put.
  21. Wow, I'm feeling the love! It's gonna be a good day!
  22. Thank you so much, Wayne. So do you think that I am experiencing the 'full' feeling? I take miniature sips, half of a baby spoon at a time, and then walk for about 5 minutes before trying again. That's how I endured 18 oz in 24 hours. As a new day dawns on me, I wonder if I am doing this wrong. I've been working on 4 oz for the past four hours.

    lots of pain

My left side is where the doctor did the most work. It is agony. I have been clutching a pillow to my tummy since the surgery 4 days ago. It better let up because eventually I need to be able to move around and care for my needs! I tried an abdominal binder from the pharmacy today. It worked very well. I removed it after several hours.
