1. Enjoy the Clear now, after the surgery it's a little harder drinking , and you have to keep yourself hydrated, I had my surgery fri at 2:30 and came home the next day. I've been walking a lot and drinking small sips , if I had my way I would just stay in bed but that's not good, I'm a little sore I have my liquid Percocet in case of pain and burping and farting helps with gas, it hurts to burp but you are getting rid of has.. Good luck tomorrow btw I told my anesthesiologist that I was really nauseated the last time I was under so they gave me meds for that before I even woke up which was great, no nausea

  2. I'm almost through the liquid faze, and am preparing myself for the surgery at 2:30 tomorrow.(It was originally set for june 23 but there were hospital coverage problems)...so Im ordering more Protein powders, does anyone know what a good amount would be?,Im purchasing 6-17 scoop cans from Unjury, I had them from the dr office and I thought they were pretty good. I have Isopure Water for my clear liquid faze after surgery, and sugar free Jello and plenty of water and Vitamin water..Is there anything else I should be aware of,I know about gas pains and have gas x strips..I guess what am asking is there anything I should do..thanks for any help, cuz right now my head is racing with what I need to do

  3. I went through the same thing, my daughter and I started our journey in 2012 knowing that we both wanted the sleeve after doing all out research , after out 6 month program we were told we could only get the band. I knew this would not work for me and there were too many issues but my daughter decided to go for it, I was sad that we didn't take this journey together . She lost about 40 pounds but had so many complications .jan 2014 I was told I could have the sleeve just go through the 6 month program again and now my date is June 27, my daughter is now planning on having the band removed and going for the sleeve in dec. care first changed it's policies ..it's been 2 years since I first started but it's finally here... So even through you can not take this journey together , it will all work out.. Good luck

  4. I told my supervisor , the only one I personally have to address but when the weight start coming off the rumors will start . I have given this a lot of thought and if someone asks I'm going to tell them. Why should I be ashamed, I tried diets and exercise but I am still (as my dr has written) morbidly obese. I'm doing this for my health not because I want to wear a bikini, would anyone look down on someone if they had their gall bladder or appendix taken out, or having chemo. I'm doing this to prolong my life. So the hell with anyone telling me I took the easy way out..sorry had to vent

  5. That's great that you have a dr with a good reputation , that's always a good thing. The way I'm thinking about this is like when you are having a baby and you are having contraction pains, you push through the pain because when the pain is over you have a beautiful baby, well when your pain is over after having surgery you are on your way to having a beautiful body, yeah it might be saggy and lose fitting but there will be less and you will feel so much better in the long run

  6.
Congrats on the new date!!! I just have a week of two shakes and some food like a lean cuisine or smart one. My pre-op is Thursday and my surgery is June 25th. Good luck with your surgery and recovery.

so we are in the same week that's pretty cool , are you getting nervous. I've had this weight with way too long and I can't wait to lose it even tho I've tried and tried

  7. So I was suppose to have my sleeve done in July but I was asked if I wanted it done June 27...well hell yeah, so now I don't have as much time to anguish over the whole surgery thing which is good.. But still getting nervous, my doctor said that having my gall bladder out last year was worse than having the sleeve done so let's see.. 9 days and counting, my dr also has me on liquids for 2 days before my surgery , anyone else have this cuz I noticed most people here have 2 weeks of liquid

  8. I'm new here but I understand your anxiety . I've been eating like crazy and I'm feeling nervous, my surgery date is not until July and I can't get into diet mode. My liquid pre op doesn't start until 2 weeks before my surgery but I keep thinking of the foods I will be missing and I know that's not the way to think . I know I will feel so much better after the surgery it's just getting there
