  1. Never used any ready to drink shakes I didn't find any I liked. Purchased Unjury chocolate flavor. Mix it with coconut almond milk in a shaker Took it on the go wherever I went. Heated up for hot cocoa. I went to IKEA and bought several metal tumbler cups with lids and they keep my drinks cold or hot first long as I take to drink them. And I use a thermos to take extra milk to work if I need it. I carry GENEPRO flavorless Protein Powder add to my Water or oatmeal or crystal light.

  2. Hi Everyone,

Just curious, when did everyone start considering it might be time to try on a new clothing size? I've lost 50 pounds and I knew my clothes were getting baggy, but my jeans (same jeans I wore before surgery) are driving me crazy with how baggy they are today. I haven't paid attention to my measurements too much so I don't know how much smaller I actually am.

I know everyone is going to be different, but I'm curious how much weight you lost or how much time passed after surgery before you thought it was time to try a new size?

I was sleeved 11-6-14 I am down 60 lbs 45 since surgery day. Just this past week I pulled all my storage bins with old clothes out and put them in piles by size. I tried on everything! Took hours but I found I can still fit in most my larger clothes???? ( wish they were so big I had to get rid of them) but not quite there yet.

I did add 20+ pairs pants to the mix that fit now and more suprising was the shirts that fit now ! I put what is still to small into bins labeled them and I will try them in one month to see if I can introduce more old clothes. Hoping by then I have to get rid off my big clothes. Honestly only about 5 things are to big now to wear and that's because they were loose when I was at my heaviest!

I'm saving my first "purchase outfit" ( real shopping ) for my 200 lb mark. Which is 35 lbs away. I'm praying in 6 weeks to 2 months I can go get that outfit! It will be a day to remember!

  3. Sleeved 11/3 and I'm down 50.6 pounds! I'm doing great with no issues. I love my sleeve! The restriction is perfect. I get enough to feel satisfied but it keeps my portions reasonable. Best thing I ever did. On the other hand, my pants are huge and I need some new ones soon!

Good to hear from you! I finally went through my (smaller clothes) been stored forever. Happy to have shirts and pants that seem new since these coworkers have never seen them. I will be more excited I think when the bigger ones I usually wear are so big that I actually cannot wear them anymore! I want them falling off so I can throw them away and say never again. Never thought I'd feel thin at 235 lbs but I sure do. Can't wait to see what 150 feels like!

  4. @@happymama2014 - how long did it take from the start to your surgery? I'm in Sacramento as well and will be going to a class on 01/06/15.. I was curious how long it takes.

    Thanks :)

    Kristen

I started classes in June 2014 then surgery was original set for Kate sort or early oct but I chose to wait til Nov. so June to Sept is a doable time frame just depends how much weight they want u to lose.

    Good luck!

  5. Checking in!

I'm doing well. I'm down 45 lbs since 11-6-14 surgery day. Progress Definitely slowed down in dec because I ate things besides protein! But I am doing great. Only complaints are not being able to get in the recommended Vitamins (I throw them up several times a week) and still wanting to eat beyond what my body can handle.

I find if I wait to long to eat I eat too fast and really I can only take in 3-5 bites. I continually take another and its to much. Wish I could figure out when to stop but I'm sure I will get there.

Typical day is powdered coffee drink/sugar free, mixed in blender ball with GENEPRO Protein powder and hot Water. ---Then lunch is tuna with 1 tsp mayo and sometimes with a few wheat thins or a chunk of rotissirie chicken no skin or avacado and corn chips. ---Snack is yogurt or fruit. ---Dinner is chicken 1-3 oz and a bite or two of veggies. ---Sometimes I eat veggies seperate an hour before so I can eat a whole serving which my dr frowns on... But I love me some veggies!! --- pm snack is string cheese or fruit or whatever I want low calorie.

Pretty much I have what I want just less of it and I choose Protein more often than other things I used to have. Example used to love waffles with pbutter and Syrup now I have half piece Dave's killer bread toasted with 2 tsp pbutter. Get grains and protein and it's like a treat????. I had some treats every day around Christmas so I had way more calories than normal but it hit the spot and one cookie or brownie or treat is a far cry from the pan of goodies I would consume in the past . I call it progress and real life.

With exercise or walking the lbs just keep coming off. 60 lbs gone since starting program in June 2014. Praying to hit goal by June but I will continue to be happy with any weight loss as it's all a success.

How bout the rest of the November sleevers?

  6. I told my mom because I needed her to watch my son. I heard "wow , it's so dangerous, I wish you could do it on your own". I told my best friend and she said I wish you didn't have to do that. She did take me and brought me home but she's not a person of support that I can talk to about this. Then I heard my mom say well since you already have to lose weight before the surgery can't you just keep losing weight. That just tells me that both people don't understand and are not able to support me in this decision. If that's whatIm get from my closest allies of course I'm not sharing it with people on the outside. To each his own. Seven weeks out down 40 pounds! No regrets!

  7. Yes this calling it (feeling full) it's not what I would call it. Feels like something hurting in the top your chest... Just one bite too many and you'll feel it. If you don't throw it up it will take about a half hour 40 minutes to go through. So short answer is it's almost impossible to overeat in a single sitting. Which has saved my life because that was my one problem. Now even with the holidays I did have a few treats here and there but it was a few bites no over indulging. And....I'm still losing weight. Maybe one day the option to overeat will be there but so far I don't see it happening anytime soon! Good luck.

  8. Six weeks out- down 35 lbs. 50 since starting the program. Amazing to me how little food has control over me now. I grabbed a chunk of chicken to eat tonight because I was out running errands. Few hours later I had a Mandarin for a treat. I used to plan to go get food and looked forward to food now it's just necessity. Eat enough Protein and drink my fluids. No issues with drinking Water no sipping needed. Happy girl. Food used to rule part of my life. Not anymore.
