  1. Thanks, test went well, it was very quick, went in at @ 6am was home by 9am. The test it self and re over was about 45 minutes
  2. Don't know why, but i am nervous, I know it will be over quickly...I guess I am anxious????, tomorrow is my last test before, insurance and scheduling surgery.
  3. Thanks, I am also beginning to think that it's my Dr. Office way of doing procedure. I am patient and can wait.
  4. I just completed my eco and cardio, my EDG is July 10, I asked the nurse today how long will it take...her response was, after you complete your EDG we submit your paperwork and it will take 30 days before approval (if any) and scheduling surgery. I said ok didn't realize it would take 30 days, she said by law for revision that's the time frame
  5. thanks...I am currently a bandster waiting for appointments for revision
  6. I haven't spoken to my Dr as of yet, but can anyone who has had a revision know if the revision costs more, and if so what are the extra costs vs just getting the sleeve without a revision?
  7. I am revising from the lap band (BCBSIL), I guess I want to prepare myself for additional out of pocket costs I may have. Thanks for letting me know.
  8. I haven't spoken to my Dr as of yet, but can anyone who has had a revision know if the revision costs more, and if so what are the extra costs vs just getting the sleeve without a revision?
  9. Thanks pjpanda, that's what I figured because my original paperwork for the insurance only stated the two evaluations...I think my Dr office is overwhelmed with patients, but they could have just been honest with me.
  10. I had my first appointment on June 9, I was told by my Dr office that my insurance only required the phys evaluation and the nutrition evaluation which I did both on June 16. I was thinking that because all my insurance required were the two evaluations that my paperwork would be submitted, BUT today after speaking with BCBSIL, they haven't received any paperwork so I called my Dr office who then tell me that I have to complete my cardiac and EGD (July 10) before they proceed to my insurance. So I guess I am confused, is it my Dr office (who gave me the forms stating that my insurance only required the two), or do BCBSIL also require all to be done before approving?
  11. I have BCBS IL, no hoops, they only required a phys evaluation and nutrition
  12. Lol no you are not alone, me and Lady VS, who is my very best friend was just talking about of sex was a factor
  13. Well MonicaW it's funny you said that because I think that may have been the issue ...
  14. Thanks Lady VS
  15. Yes MonicaW, I have been on a liquid diet for a couple of days and doing much better thanks. There is still slight pain at the port area but tolerable
  16. So I had my phys and nutrition evaluation today and I am in pain with my band. I have been having bad acid reflux and now with the acid reflux I have pain at the port and top of my stomach. Any suggestions what it may be, I am fearing slippage before the sleeve. Any ideas or suggestions out there???
  17. MzDimplezNYC, I am currently in the process band to sleeve. I had my Dr visit on Wednesday 6/4, I've done my blood work and upper GI, my insurance BCBSIL requires a nutrition class and a psy evaluation, I do both on the same day 6/16. My Dr requires a stress test that I do on 7/1 and a EGD on 7/10. My Dr's office told me they will be submitting my paperwork to my insurance company on 6/17 with a requested surgery date.
  18. I have had gastritis which is a number of things that can occur in the stomach, but for me it was very bad acid reflux after I eat, or at night it would wake me up out of my sleep and in the morning my stomach and throat felt like it was on fire. It was the reason I got the band back in 2005. When had my first EGD my Dr showed me the pics and looked like a line was drawn in my stomach, but that was in 2005, I had another EGE in 2011 and my stomach looks much better. Hope this helps.
  19. Hi Displaced Va Girl, I simply logged into my plan and looked up my deductible and coverage, then I called BCBSIL and they did verify that there are no restrictions with HSA plan I have.
  20. My Dr visit today went well, I had an upper GI done and blood work done. My Dr is going on vacation so my physiological and nutrition appointments are scheduled for June 16, stress test is scheduled for July 1, EGD is scheduled for July 10 and hopefully per my Dr an August surgery date. My deductible is met,so all costs will be 20% out of pocket which should be okay since I do not have to do a sleep study nor a supervised diet. If my EGD goes well with out any signs of stomach lining separating I will be a sleeved woman....praying for a successful surgery and recovery in Jesus Name
  21. Yes it does, thanks a bunch????
  22. Had my office visit today with my surgeon and scheduling my EGD, frontera and evaluation. I was told today that my deductible is met, does this mean I will still have out of pocket costs with BCBS, has anyone had to pay both out of pocket and meet deductible? I asked if I was going to talk to someone about costs so I can prepare and I was told it wasn't necessary, so I guess I am confused because my insurance company told me I had 80/20 and I am responsible for 20%, but was told different today by the insurance coordinator.
  23. I apologize because I did say completely removed and that is not the case. ...my words and mind are going 100 miles an hour and I am trying not to stress about it. I will find out more on Wednesday, I have a lot of questions for my Dr
