Lap Band Pain :( Help plez

So I had my phys and nutrition evaluation today and I am in pain with my band. I have been having bad acid reflux and now with the acid reflux I have pain at the port and top of my stomach. Any suggestions what it may be, I am fearing slippage before the sleeve. Any ideas or suggestions out there???

  • You may want to repost this in the Lapband Complications section if you want anymore responses before your doctor's visit.

  • I once had a case of TERRIBLE port pain caused by....SEX! True story....it took a few days to stop hurting....it was from that area having too much pressure on it during 'the act'.

  • Well MonicaW it's funny you said that because I think that may have been the issue ...

Are you unfilled?

Have you tried going to liquids only for a couple of days?

I'm not a doctor, but I've read that often PORT pain can be a sign of erosion. So you may want to get checked out!

Yes MonicaW, I have been on a liquid diet for a couple of days and doing much better thanks. There is still slight pain at the port area but tolerable

HA! I had wondered if I was the only person that ever happened to! Add it to the list of things I will not miss about my band! I also can't hula hoop without port pain and suffering!
