1. I had scrambled egg whites this morning with a tiny bit of salsa. Yum! It's the 2nd try on eggs and this went much better than the first time. Things are changing. I last 35 lbs prior to May 19th sleeve and have lost 18 lbs in less than a month. You're right to Celebrate how your cloths fit and how much energy you might have now. Get out and move. I planted 5 large plants in my yard. Let me just say, that was a full body workout. I lost 3 lbs in one day. I'm never going to garden again lol. What I've noticed recently is I now have elbow bones and knee bones. It's been a long time since I've seen them. Welcome back old friends.

  2. I so get where you're coming from. Now whenever I see someone who is obese I have the urge to spread the word and let them get onto a path to a healthier life. Obviously, I wouldn't bother a perfect stranger but if someone was to ask, my answer would be the same as everyone who has had the sleeve that this is life changing. Thanks for your share.

  3. I've been able to eat a veggie burger patty with mashed potatoes. I make it to about half the patty and some of the mashed potato until I get the urge to vomit. I stop immediately and get up and move around. The taste is wonderful and so is the chewing. It's really hard to not want to drink Water with my meal. Is everyone burping constantly since their surgery?

  4. Thanks everyone for your shares on this topic. I personally have shared with everyone. Even my students. Most understand that this is not an easy path and they are aware of the journey that I have taken to get here. I have received a lot of support and genuine concern for me. Most are pleased that I will be healthier. What ever your choice is to tell or not to tell always remember that we have this forum to share with each other who understand first hand what we are going through. Thanks girls.

  5. I'm only less than a week out and am having my doubts too. Still major abdominal pain under my right ribs. Fine if I don't move. I want to move. Stage 2food has lifted my spirits. I put Isopure strawberry powder in my cream of wheat for flavor. I figure that I got in som Protein too. I'm sure we'll feel better as time goes by. Let's hang in there and believe in the encouraging words from our experienced sleeve sisters.

  6.
I had Gastric Sleeve Surgery done on March 11th. I am hitting the gym and working hard but I feel like I need somebody to talk to and just check on me to hold me accountable. I know I can get lazy and stop going to the gym and pig out on chips and bean dip, LOL, I need somebody to make sure I do it!

Debi you can count on my support too

  7. Sissy I am in Santa Clarita and too would like a supportive buddy. I had my sleeve last Monday, May 19th. Before surgery I was working out at home and at the gym 6 days a week. I was really loving it and am afraid that it will be hard to get back when I get the Doc's OK. I miss it so much. I would love to support you through this journey and would greatly appreciate your support too. Southern Cali girls need to stick together

  8. Thank you Jill for your honesty. I am only day 4 post sleeve and have found this adventure quite emotional and leaving me with a lot of self doubt. RJ's comments were sooooo helpful and I hope she keeps them coming. Thank you RJ. I also took note of the suggestion from Beagle Lover about a book that she found "emotional first aid bariatric survival guide. I am usually not a person to read up about what I'm doing but my emotions got me here and the physiological changes are under way but my issues with food are still issues. I plan to see my Psychiatrist and get my back side into an actual support group meeting. You've done so well Jill so hang in there and continue to give me hope. If you can do it, maybe I can.
