Don't ever force it. If it takes you an hour and half to get through the 4 cups so be it- that is 6oz give or take, as time goes you will be able to take bigger sips- don't ever gulp.
-
Hopefully I can help, I am liquids part now and will be until tomorrow.
First keep in mind you shouldn't drink over 4oz in 15 minutes for the first 4 weeks.
Drink out of shot cups, if you don't have any go buy some, fill up 4 shot cups- Water, broth, Protein Water, poweraid etc., I didn't drink broth but once a day- prefered water, poweraid, Protein water. A shot cup is less then 2 oz so you'd be drinking about 1 1/2 oz with each cup
Sip on one shot cup every 15 minuters, you'll have 4 down after an hour then start all over again. You should be constantly be sipping on something while you are awake.

As popular as the "sleeve sugery" is getting- everyone is bound to know somebody that has had it done.
People can't really keep secrets, the juicer the secret the harder it is for people to keep, think about how many times you told your best friend something and added "don't tell anybody" or her to you.
If you told more then 3 people you can be sure several already know so it don't make sense to have a big lie about it but you need to do what feels right to you. People love judging other people over anything.

Just like my signature says about falling off the wagon, you must do two things- fix the wagon and become a better rider.
Sound like you are a carb person, you would most likely have much success following a low-carb plan. Most plans following surgery are generaly low carb, not sure why yousr wouldn't be.
Carbs crave more carbs for most people- especially overweight people.

I only kept it a secret until I found out I was for sure getting it done.
It doesn't matter to me who knows because people can't keep secrets and people always end up finding out.
There is a lady in my town who lied to me about having it, I asked her how she lost it so fast she said low carb and exercise. I knew better because the normal average person does not lose that much weight as fast as she did. I found out she had the sleeve but didn't want anybody to know but people talk behind each others back all the time.
So when she ask me how I lost weight- my answer will be "same way you did" LOL

I called it helicopter bacteria because that's about what the technical term sounds like.
You will be fine, you will be given some super strong antibodies, maybe even triple antibody therepy, I think that is what it is called for a week. Just remember to not take any of it on an empty stomach and especially do not drink any alcohol while taking them.
4 years ago I did the triple antibodic thing and I tested negative last Monday.

CandyPants81,
@@Texas Jess Hey Jessie! I don't know of anyone who's had the plication. What made you choose that over the sleeve? Just curious. I haven't researched the plication a whole lot.

I chose the Plication because the patient coordinator said that would probably be the best choice since I just needed to lose 50 lbs. the trouble I always have is keeping it off and now I have just been diagnosed with Diebetes. Like I said both sisters have bands and I'm not impressed with the outcome. I was going to do the sleeve till I talked to the coordinator. I did some reading and it seemed less invasive so I just chose that one. I'm actually still a bit on the fence about it.
That will have to be your decision, but I know of a couple of people with only 30lbs to lose who got the sleeve.

If I feel I need more, I will take more but the longer I take off the worse my work would pile up. I have a desk job and no one will be doing my work while I am out. I can always go home for a long lunch.< /p>

Thankfully I work in a very well air conditioned building, I am always the cold one! At work I am only outside twice a day- when I get to work and when I leave work.
I am not going to cancel surgery just because I can only take a week off, besides I would surely go stir crazy having 2 weeks off.
-
I can only take a week. I guess it just depends on the person, I've also read where some people take 3 days off but the majority that I read said they take a week and did just fine.

Can someone tell me the name of the group on Facebook or send me a request to join? Of course I'm a day late to join! Facebook pic is same as on here and full name is Tracy Cline Musselman. Thanks

I joined the FB Group and immediately went into my activity log and clicked "hide from timeline", which should do the trick.
I clicked and joined the group, I hope I did it right! I unchecked the box under manage sections.

After reseahing some different VSG plans sounds like some surgeons diet plan is most closey like Dr, Stillman's diet from a long time ago...low carb, low fat and low calorie and understandably so they all want you to lose fast pretty fast.

I getting anxious to at least get the consult over with! I am ready to start getting what I think I will need the first couple of weeks, but I must have lost some good sense I already have $200 of stuff picked out at an online nutrition place, another $250 at Amazon. Most probably way to much of what I won't need. (Protein powders, Protein drinks, Vitamins etc)
How much are you planning on spending on your pre-op and post-op groceries & vitamins?

You've got to "Eat More" to "Loose More"
I was told this already and it did work for me- the lady who told me this didn't mean more calories but more often 6 smaller meals as opposed to 3 big ones.
Not advise per se but I did a 3 day diet when I was about 13 -each night the diet wanted you to eat 1 cup of ice cream, exaclty one cup of your choice flavor, generally it was something to do with chemical something or another and you'd lose 10 pounds in 3 days....haha I don't think I lost any

I know every surgeon is different and requires different test, but what are the basic test you have to do besides blood test & EKG?
-
If we had known a few people personally that had it done in Mexico maybe that would have made a difference, we don't know of even one person that had done much less in Mexico.
