    Modern clothing sizes. WTF?

Yep vanity sizing, so many think its fabulous that Marlyn Monroe was a size 12-14 but that was way before "vanity sizing" in reality by todays world she would be a size 4-6 From her "dress maker" Height: 5 feet, 5½ inches Weight: 118-140 pounds Bust: 35-37 inches Waist: 22-23 inches Hips: 35-36 inches

    NEWBIES..... LETS STICK TOGETHER

I thought a long time about going to Mexico but my regular doctor and husband didn't want me to. My regular doctor said that he didn't think my insurance would cover me back in the US if anything went wrong, I am going the self-pay route as it is. and after doing some reserching on it, didn't seem like I would be saving that much money.

    NEWBIES..... LETS STICK TOGETHER

Google "Swollen Sleeve video", certainly explains why liquids go down so slow right after and why so important to follow doctors diet I would think every surgeon would tell this to their patient so they would know what to expect, guess not because there's so many here (in general) that don't know why they can't get liquids down at first

  8. I am no expert but I have read plenty of books on the subject (of course YMMV) but the thinner you get the less Protein you will need. Too much protein will stall weight loss once you get closer to goal weight- so will eating processed foods- stall your loss that is. Watch for hidden sugars. There are many variations to try to get to goal weight: paleo, carb-cycling etc. Most important is "clean eating" At this point you want to build muscle and lose body fat. The more muscle you have the more calories you will burn through out the day. Back to Topic...Shaving the Legs with ease!

    Smoking cigerettes?

I don't want to sound preachy either, I quit cold turkey in January because I had enough of being a prisioner to a freakin cigarette. But listen you only "think" you love it because you are getting your nicoitne fix when you smoke, you think it makes you feel good (why you think you love it) Right now that nicotine monster has control over you- wouldn't you rather YOU have control over your own mind? Contrary to popular belief nicotine does not relieve stress it create stress, think about how stressed you get when you can't smoke or how stressed you get when you only have one or two left in a pack. One last thing- when you smoke you can't smell just how bad you stink but non-smokers can and let me tell you it's much worse than you think. Enjoy your journey, I promise it does get easier!

    protein shakes

Brands ready made that I like are Oh Yeah all flavors, Pure Protein all flavors, EAS Advantage--- the kind you make yourself I have always used Designer whey Protein- chocolate, vanilla, strawberry and White Chocolate. You can use the vanilla for so many different recipes and you can also get Davinici or Torani sugar free syrups and make your own flavors. These are all high-proten & low carb.
  11. My own opinion, I think if you have "food funerals" (read that here) it would only make it worse for yourself- you will gain more weight and it would be like tricking your brain into thinking you will never get that again. Then once you have your sleeve that food monster in your brain will make you think you need to have it-just got to have it! Train your brain now to make it think it prefers "healthly foods" the kind you will have to eat for your new life style. Affirmations can work wonders.

    Frequently Asked Questions

I quit smoking in January, it does get easier I promise! Once you get the nicotine out of your system it's a matter of breaking the habbit, have patience and take it one hour at at time.

    Any july sleevers?

i don't think my surgeon requires more than a few days liquid diet. I am "practicing" eating low-carb, taking little bites but most important I been practicing not drinking while eating. I stop drinking anything 30 minutes before I eat and I wait at least 30 minutes after I eat to drink...to me this would be the most diffficult change- this is the one rule they say has to be followed forever. It actually hasn't been to bad but does take getting used too, will be so glad to have to practice set in by surgery.

    NEWBIES..... LETS STICK TOGETHER

I have already started getting a few things here and there so that I don't have to purchase everything all at once. It all felt so overwhelming but now that I have some things I feel better about it. I sure don't want t go shopping right after surgery. I found the perfect "small" size portion plate in the baby asile at Walmart, I know I am a long way from that but If I had been eating with that all my life I wouldn't be in shape I am in now.

    Extreme Weight Loss

It was Chris wife that was pregnaut and she had the baby while filming. Charita stuck with it- did her part and made her goal weight. Ty is the one that dropped out. The pregnancy part was a bit misleading. These contestants are assisted in every way for them to make their goal weight- including being given diet pills so it REALLY pisses off the producers when they don't follow the rules.
