Thank you, I didn't think it would be magic, I just have seen so many people with 10 + lbs gone and had surgery either on the same day or later, so I felt I had been doing so etching wrong. Thank you for the information.

Yep, Normal Normal Normal. You have just had surgery and you were pumped full of air and fluids. Your insides are swollen and recovering. Give yourself some time and the weight loss will appear suddenly in a few days. You are still healing so give yourself some time.... you will be surprised one day when you wake up and the scale is down 8 or 9 pounds over night. Be patient..... the numbers will fall.

Hide your scale! The scale is nothing but an instrument of torture, to be honest, especially in the first few months. Only weigh in at your surgeon's office so you're not focused on that number daily. Also, if you weigh in at your surgeon's you'll have others there for emotional support if the number is not what you were expecting or wanted.
I gave my therapist my scale before surgery and I only weighed twice per month for the first five months, now we're only weighing once every six weeks. Its more important now to focus on your nutritional choices, movement, and your healing than the number on the scale.
I think in a lot of ways when people step on the scale daily they are saying that they don't trust themselves to make the right nutritional choices. You MUST trust yourself in this process, let go of the number, and relax for a little while. Work your sleeve and it will work for you, regardless of what your scale says!

woo hoo! TOTALLY agree with those who posted before me . I have been weighing in once every two and a half weeks lately. Inevitably, I see a loss. That way I don't obsess over day to day/hour to hour fluctuations.

. I was also sleeved on the 12th and I have days where my energy is high then it drops, been walking but I must agree I'm so sick of Protein Shakes but I won't complain I'm down 21 pounds I don't have a scale in the house which I'm so happy for I think I would weigh myself to much, I might weigh myself on Tuesday since I just got weighed this Tuesday at the doc office, congrats on your loss we are going to be summer ready watch out now

Hey butterfly! Is it ok if I friend you? You're the first May 12th sleever I see besides me so far! You're lucky you have no drain, I think it's made this recovery a bit harder for sure. And the gas? I still have it, mostly because I can't go walking around with this drain, it's too painful! How are you getting your liquids in? Any tips? I just feel so full all the time! I was sleeved may 13th. No drain. Minimal incision pain. But having a hard time swallowing still. I don't get but maybe 30 grams of Protein in daily, if that. It's tough when it takes all day to drink a 10oz Protein shake.
