I have to remember that the surgery is just a tool and I have to do the work, mostly in my mind & then follow the plan. I am so excited for you to achieve your results. HELLO FRIENDS, I had met with my Nutritionist and have one more appt before paper work is submitted to Ins. I started logging my meals into MyFitnessPal which by the way is under (losingmyweight) I would love to have you as an encouragement friend. Can I just say WHOA had no idea I was consuming so much FAT!!! The Nutrition person set me at 1,800 calories and 90 grams of protein! I have been doing a detox as I really just wanted to get my body ready to receive weight loss. I AM SO CONSTIPATED and dont want to take laxatives. Is there a healthy ORGANIC remedy I can take that you would recommend???? I get my EGD in the morning to see if I have a hernia... which I believe I do and the surgeon said he would repair during surgery I gave up caffeine for my detox and lets just say I have had a major headache even thou I only drink one cup in the morning. Shhhhhhh dont tell anyone I had a cup today because I woke up feeling so bad. QUESTION: If you drank caffeine (I dont drink soda just coffee) did you wein yourself off BEFORE the surgery and what seemed to help you during the transition????? Love.... I had my first appt with my surgeon today. I was expecting him to say Gastric Bypass for me as I am 50 and have to lose 100 pounds. I do not have any other health concerns excepts my knees, arthritis and oh yes I am obese. I have been concerned with the malapsorption of the gastric bypass but also the sleeve with gerd. I am having an EGD to rule out Hiatal Hernia and from there the surgeon will give me his recommendation on surgery. QUESTION: If you have had sleeve and you had to do all over again verses the Gastric bypass would you?

I am meeting with surgeon in a couple weeks and we are discussing the sleeve verses bypass. I am 50 years old, no other health concerns except my knees are bad from my extra weight and the obvious.. I am overweight scratch that obese : ) So for those of you who have had bypass I was wondering if you would now have considered the sleeve or visa versa. THANK YOU ahead of time as I am a newbie.
