Thank you Hun so much for your advice you are so right I am going to see my GP this week to start the ball rolling I need that at least your right! I had a good chat to my husband as he has been against me having it he was thinking I am being lazy and just not trying I told him how I have been trying for 20 years I can lose the weight but never keep it off and I am tired of this struggle!

Hi ladies Thanks for you kind words! Some days I am ok with being me as this size and other days I hate my self so much it hurts! I just want my surgery already! Just have to take each day as it comes! I had phi but it was only basic hospital for me and the husband which I didn't know this! so had to up it to standard did that in Janaury why I didn't I think to check earlier I don't know spewing!!! So still not sure waft doctor to see getting very confused when I start looking it all up! I have an appt with my local GP in September to get a referral, she thinks the surgery is a good idea so I have her support which is good So no rush as phi doesn't kick in till jan 13th and counting lol Glad to hear all you ladies are doing well I have been reading and following everyone's journey Xxxx

Hi ladies So glad to hear everyone is doing so well!!! I had to take a break from the forum as reading it everyday was making me go crazy as I was so far away still from even seeing a doctor, but feel better now as it's two months closer and will be seeing a doctor soon! I have been gaining weight, which I hate but I just can't stop as I am just in a whats the point place at the moment

Reason I asked the weight in questions is so I know to wear heavy clothes as my BMI is maybe to low for some doctors!

Wow Bee you can really see you have lost weight in those photos 20 plus kg is fantastic you will be under 100 before you know it x

Wow mick that's amazing numbers , the weight is going to just full off you once the sleeve is done, good work on not over doing it at your sweet little girls party I have a 7 year as well never want to break there hearts! Never hear the end if it lol

Hi ladies I am so happy I found this tread with you all it's very motivating to go ahead with the surgery I will be doing some research on doctors as I want a really good doctor with a great rep I am scared of this leak thing I was reading about so not going to let $$$& decide for me, I really want the sleeve and not a band I know people with both and all the ones with bands it didn't work or had to be removed and they were so uncomfortable as well I don't want that, my friends sister had both and the sleeve has been better for her! Even tho she is gaining now it's a year out I think she is just eating what she wants and has re stretched her stomach out! I eat small anyway it's just I snack to much so hoping it will work for me!

Hey Bella! I think it depends on ur BMI. I don't think the surgeons will laugh at you. If u don't feel healthy and feel ur weight is going to escalate u have every right to seek professional help it's not the number on the scale that really matters I mean it does but doesn't u know 90 kg on me I look ok but I started at 137kg I'm 170cm tall and want to weight about 65-70ish. I went through lap surgery Australia and they were pretty good (except for when I got in trouble lol) you can always call them and ask them they are really friendly they are in boronia hope it helps dde0a Hi Bee I am only 161cms. I feel so short and fat I was tiny after having my last baby I was down to 59kgs but that was from starving and running I keep it up for 2 years but got tired so it all piled on as soon as I stopped running 2 hours a day and eating again! :-( I am now out of control and have been trying everything nothing works and I just keep putting on more and more weight! Can anyone tell me out of pocket you were?

Hi ladies I have been lurking reading all the post, I am wanting to get the sleeve done but waiting for my PHI to kick in that's jan 13th 2015 I thought I was covered but my cover was to low!! Dam it! Anyway I have a few questions I am currently weighting 90kgs I know it's not huge but it is to me and I am so sick of struggling with weight up and down all my life I am tired of the fighting now that I am 40 I am scared I will just keep getting bigger!! What are my chances you think will the surgeons laugh and turn me away? Also no idea who to go see as in surgeon any recommendations? I live in Essendon and work in the city tell me honestly girls am I crazy!
