I had a sleep study and was found to have obstructive sleep apnea but that has gone away. I have always had this problem and it is no fun for sure! I hope they get something figured out for you!

Sorry to hear that. I am due for my 4 month check up here soon as well but have had many other appts in between. I am not sleeping well or eating/drinking enough either but it is because of my stricture. Going in for the 4th time this Friday to have an endoscopy and dilation.
  5. This sounds like the same old story. I am back in for another endoscopy this Friday coming up due to my forever returning stricture. I plan to tell the surgeon that I want to be scheduled to have a stent placed. This is just getting to be too much. My life is normal for almost 2 week increments and that is just not enough for me. Has anyone else had a stent placed, and if so, can you tell me about it? I am so tired of living on basically a liquid-pureed diet. In 5 days I will be at 4 months post-op.
  6. I have felt exactly the same. I knew that my life would not be normal as it was before surgery, but I never knew my life would be miserable. Unfortunately I know all to well how you feel. My liver enzymes were elevated both times I was admitted to the hospital and I ended up having pancreatitis. I certainly wish you well!
  7. Had my third endoscopy this morning with yet another stricture. I have no idea when this will stop happening, and it is really just not fun. Have any of you had exp with strictures?
  8. Ok. try out that site. Lots of great recipes there!
  9. I don't know if you are pre or post surgery, but for post surgery... http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/
  10. And I've had a pill stuck in my throat all day and poo to that!
  11. I'm glad you are doing so well! I am still waiting on the scheduling of my 4th endoscopy, so I haven't had it yet. Once I have it it takes around 2 weeks for the stricture to come back. It is really awful! YAY to the yogurt! That's just about all I can eat right now......
  12. Hi Beni! I was just thinking of you this morning and wondering how you were doing after surgery! Well, I have alreadyhad the third one, someone brought this thread back up. I haven't posted a thread about it but I am on the fourth now.... =(
  13. OMg I am so sorry. I hope I am not dealing with this in three years! I will say my stricture is back again. It only ever works for about two weeks. =(
  14. That is so great! I am gonna have to find a winter coat!
  15. You know I just would have never thought of that and my surgeons never said it, either. I am glad for the OP starting this thread! =)
  16. I am wondering if I should get one. Well I know I need one because I have epilepsy!

Are you a slave to the scales?

I usually weigh once a day. I do not have a negative reaction if it has not gone down or even if it goes up. I know that weight can fluctuate, and I also know that I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, and a lot of the time I have a bit of swelling throughout my body.

    Starbucks...

I was before surgery. After surgery I have not been able to tolerate it. Saves me a lot of money!

    Hospital

I had my phone and charger and a couple of changes of underwear. I also brought some wipes and lipbalm. I wished I had brought earplugs because I shared a room with a girl who was loud as well as were her guests. I didn't bring Gas X strips but I wish I had those as well. I got them once I got home...
  21. I have never thought of that but it makes sense.

    light headed

I agree with the BP meds thing also (if you are on them). I was taking Verapamil for headaches as rx by my neurologist and a couple of weeks post op, I was always dizzy and light headed and felt like I was gonna pass out. My internist took me off of it and I have been fine ever since, except for my other issues and my headaches coming back, of course.
  23. I suggest you set one up! Nothing feels better than entering in your weight and watching the pounds go down, as well as the BMI!

Hey Beni! I didn't realize the time had passed already! I had my surgery there too. I did have issue with that one nurse Jon. I had to share a room with someone and she was loud as was her company, all day and night. Bring some earplugs! Good luck tomorrow!!!!
