Today I stopped in to Starbucks. In my former life I was a SB junkie. I have stopped in once to say hello, but today I went in for an iced herbal tea. said, Wow ! Look at those cheek bones! You are looking great!" Well, that is what made me smile. Also, my pants and underwear are falling down!

I just ate at a Mexican restaurant with no issues. I got chicken tortilla Soup and just ate the chicken out and some refried Beans.... Now that made me smile!

Sorry I don't know anything about Humana, but I think there is an Insurance forum on here. Wow @@itsmekarenlee! I have actually had a dr apologize to me once as well. He did something that could have caused some for real issues.

All of mine was gone til this past Sunday when I decided that was it and I must indulge in.......well,sex. So then it started hurting a little more but is almost gone again. TMI, I know.

Gotta love it! I lost weight on my own before and I was down to 159. I am a few inches taller than her and I really think she took offense that I was her exact weight. I never said anything at the time, I guess she didn't like it that I was the same weight as she was.....

That's great! I would love to join a gym but they are so expensive in my opinion. I would love to find a walking buddy. Just saw my surgeon and he seemed a bit shocked with my weight loss.

I ended up not having to take it but I think it is three medicines put together that you have to take. All insurances are different, so I don't know how much it would be for anyone else.

The same for me. We had to clean our plate. Can you imagine how many overweight and obese adults have come from that? These days if I can't finish it, I toss it. Of course I am still only eating yogurt and things like that. Given that nothing tastes right I have been throwing even more out!

Just got out of the shower which has always been my think tank and I was thinking of body measurements. Back in the day I was on the Atkins diet and lost quite a bit of weight, but before I started the diet, I measured every thing and then week after week I would take my measurements. Like every Saturday, or whatever. Back to the shower...I was wondering why the surgeons office didn't take measurements. It's been about a month since my surgery and I've lost around 20 lbs, but I think I am gonna go ahead and take my measurements. It is simple to do and it will feel good to see not only the pounds come off, but the inches as well. My question to you is did your dr take your measurements before surgery?

No, you don't feel anything. The anesthesia they use for it sort of puts you under but it also causes some kind of amnesia affect. I am not the best one to try and explain it. You should not feel anything and you will not remember the procedure.

Oh we are very careful about it. I always get lemon in my Water but I get it on the side now because I know they don't wash their lemons. Oh I was freaking out over all of that! If they did a blood test on me right now I would still come up positive even though I do not have it. False-positive. I have to have these tests every 2 years due to my dad having had colon cancer and me having more and more pre cancerous polyps ever time I go back so I will keep up with the biopsies.

I had to buy all of the same stuff and I can't use any of it.

I forgot there is also a breathing test you can do. If you are having an upper endoscopy they can biopsy your stomach. That is the best way to rule out H Pylori. I had one done 2 years ago and it did not show that I had it. They told me you could be exposed to it 30 years ago and it will come up positive on the blood test even if you don't have it. It comes mostly from unsafe food handling. Going out to restaurants and the cooks don't wash their hands and they may have feces on their hands. So gross. Who will be doing your upper endoscopy?

It is just awful, isn't it? My surgeon has me drinking sf gatorade right now, just so that I can try to get the fluids in at least. He is not overly concerned with the Proteins right this minute. I am still dropping a lb a day but I am also quite sure I am not getting in the calories I need to get in because I have been super nauseous since surgery.

Wow! You look great! What a transformation!!! I think everyone has these stalls. I wouldn't worry a bit about it, especially with the results in that picture!

I tested positive as well and my surgeon couldn't figure out the correct combo to treat me with due to all of my other medications reacting with the anti biotics they are supposed to do. Soooo he pawned me off on my GI and I went to him. They told me many times it shows up positive even if you do not have it. I was due for another colonoscopy so he ordered that and an upper endoscopy. With the endoscopy they biopsied my stomach and there was indeed no sign of H Pylori. They can also test a stool sample. Don't know if you are up for that. After my surgeon pawning me off on another dr and not taking the time to get things figured out I got a second opinion,and am happy for it.

I am sorry I don't have any suggestions for you but I am going through the exact same thing. Even Water tastes funny. My Protein shakes make me want to hurl. It is just bad. I try to get Greek yogurt down and that is bad to me now. The best thing I have found for myself is cottage cheese but who can live off of that?
