    June 2014 Dates!?

Just heard from BCBS FEP and I am approved for surgery on June 9th!!! I'm excited and nervous at the same time. Hood my surgeon will give me a sedative to calm my nerves down on the day of surgery.
  2. Had my last supper meal tonight...steak and lobster! My RNY is on June 9th (tentatively schedule as I wait for final approval BCBC FEP) and will start my modified (self imposed) liquid diet tomorrow (two liquid meals with one light meal) and official pre-op full liquid diet on June 1st. Feeling excited and fearful simultaneously. I'm fearful of possible complications and excited that I have an opportunity to save my life! Praying a lot; however, I know that this is God's will and that He has led me down this path.

    Im falling apart!

Oh ok. I have the federal BSBC and they required a three-month trial. The surgeon Nut said I couldn't gain any weight during that time which ended April 1; however, since then I have put on 10 lbs ugh. I honoring I will lose at least 10 lbs during the 7-day pre-op liquid phase. Thanks Masonjk38

    Im falling apart!

Were you worried at all that your insurance would deny you because of weight gain? I'm a little worried if my clinic weights me in the will not do the surgery. I finished the 3 month trial and I'm tentatively scheduled for June 9th; just waiting on BCBS insurance approval.

scheduled for 4/29 and freaking out!

I use an app called pillboxie that allows you to schedule all your meds and a badge and notifications will display when it's time to take pills. I took a pic of this mornings pills and once you have taken then you click the boxes. This is for iphone.

    Im falling apart!

My psychologist said this is called the "last supper" syndrome and is perfectly normal, expected, and experienced by many of her patients. I waiting for BCBS approval but tentatively scheduled for bypass on June 9th. Haven't started liquid diet yet, but the psych said to enjoy my "last supper" before liquids, and believe me I willI!!! For I look at my surgery as finally having a divorce from my love affair with certain foods that I have allowed to control me! Take care.
