  1. I am 13 months out and have been in a stall for two months. I was wondering if anyone has a few tips to move this along. Two months seems like a long stall.

I have lost 80 lbs since surgery and 12 before the surgery. I feel great but am ready to take off the next 40 lbs.

  2. I made a cake yesterday and tasted the icing and cake. Later in the day I did not feel good. For me I am going to stay away from sweets it is not worth it. But with that said, sometimes it is not easy to stay away from cake and other sweets. Do what works for you as we are all different with our tolerance to sugar after surgery.

  3. I need a little help with the exercise part of my weight loss journey. So I am excited to be part of this group. My goal is to exercise everyday and slowly build up to 10,000 steps a day with light weight lifting. Current weight is 198 and hope to be down 10 lbs. by 12/24. I have lost 87 lbs since my 12/16/14 surgery. Well gotta go and get those steps in. Happy trails to all!

  4. Hi! Dr. Mecenes did my surgery on Dec. 16. I spent two days in the hospital and was out of bed five hours after the surgery. Walking very slowly down the hall. I had rny gastric bypass surgery. Right now I am feeling tired with minimal pain. I try to sip my Water every 2 minute and getting the Protein in is getting better.

I was very happy with Cayuaga hospital and the staff on the step down floor were amazing. I went to many support meetings before the surgery and this helped me a great deal.

Dr. Mecenes is an excellent surgeon. I felt the whole experience has been very positive.

Today is day five post op and the more I try to move the better I feel. Maybe just a short walk through the house. I am taking about 2 tbls. of motrin in the morning and 2 tbls. before I go to bed.

Would love to hear from you and maybe we can encourage each other through this amazing journey. Happy Holidays!
