  1. Jolls, my emotions have been all over the place. Sad happy disgusted regret hyper. Saw the surgeon for my first post-op visit yesterday he said it's totally normal. My emotions are leveling out the farther out I get. I dumped the regret.
  2. It is hard to sip all day BUT...... You do not want to get dehydrated! I didn't drink enough and had to go back to ER per Drs orders and get rehydrated. It set my recovery back a few days. Try some flavored water, broth helps me a lot. I know it's hard but you gotta do this.
  3. Great news! Glad to hear you are doing so well..... Keep sipping..... Keep walking
  4. Take it really slow after surgery.... The pain and discomfort shocked me it was so intense. Follow your Drs orders and what and when to drink as best you can. Getting dehydrated is a big problem post op. Your going to get thru this!
  5. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.... Stock up on sugar free popsicles.... They are a life saver for me.... Let us know how you're doing.
  6. Thank you.... I have fallen in love with Popsicles lol. Will try the g2 also.
  7. Mzdee, God be with you tomorrow.... TAke care and post when you can.
  8. Thank you.... Your reply helps lift my heart. Tomorrow is a new day and it's got to get better. This rough patch will end and I'll be back to normal. It's great having these forums to go to for help, support advice. I don't feel so alone.
  9. Had to go to the ER today at the advice of my surgeon. I was dehydrated and every time I attempted to drink I got the cramps/dry heaves. They filled me up to the brim with fluids and gave me a new med for the heaves. I feel so much better.
  10. Wow! I had mine the 3, came home late the 4, no way could I have gone anywhere.... I slept a lot the first few days.
  11. I pray you are right! Right now I'm regretting this surgery big time.
  12. Going home the same day would not have been an option for me. I barely woke up the day I had it (Dec.3) I hope you push to spend the night. It's a major surgery. They need to observe you and be certain that you can drink, walk and go to the bathroom.
  13. That would be zofran not soften.... Damn spell check lol
  14. I do take soften. It helps some. How are you doing with getting in protein? I'm having so much trouble with that too.
  15. I'm having a heck of a time too.... The protein shakes taste disgusting..... Broth is disgusting.... Only like popsicles but no protein in them ????. I'm so weak.
  16. About a month to 6 weeks.
  17. How do you get rid of the spasms under the diaphragm? I can't drink because when I do I get a spasm that hurts like hell. Wish I had never done this.
  18. Had mine on the 3rd. I'm miserable! I hurt all over and am having a heck of a time with nausea. If I sip anything I get the dry heaves. Hoping tomorrow is a better day.
  19. It's all done... Everything went well... Pain is tolerable ...dry heaves are not helping me
  20. It's all done... Everything went well... Pain is tolerable ...dry heaves are not helping me
  21. On my way to the hospital for my sleeve! Today has finally arrived.... I'm nervous, excited, a little scared even. I have complete confidence that God is going to bring me thru this safely. Praise be to him.
  22. Wonderful news on your date! Mine is Dec. 3. I only have one day of a liquid diet to do. I'm so glad about that. I'm feeling all the things that you are. Can't wait to be on the other side.
  23. That's to bad you're allergic. I think the tAste is disgusting too. I like the Unjury brand. Clean and pure hospital quality brand.
  24. My last holiday before surgery.... Sleeved in 5 days! I'm glad I get to enjoy TG not for the food but to be pain free lol and just enjoy the day. I'm at the park playing with my grand daughter. It's 81 degrees out and we've been bike riding now playing. I am feeling blessed! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
  25. Wow I'm sorry to hear that! You do all that you can to get your heart strong again. Please take care of your self.
