Yeah I had to eat puréed food in the hospital the next day before I could leave. I am supposed to be eating puréed already as per the surgeon. Guess every dr is different! I was given a sample menu for the first week post op and it has puréed chicken, fish, pork, steak..

Thanks. Honestly? The nutritionist told my class that we could purée the food in our mouth before swallowing.. She said "who wants to drink chicken?" So I'm not NOT following the rules I was given..... And I'm measuring with ice cube trays because I read that's a good way to measure ounces. Everything hurts a little after I swallow it, so I figured that's normal....

Hi I'm now 5 days post op and it's been getting easier and easier to get down my puréed food... I'm actually able to chew my regular chicken down to purée in my mouth and it's been fine. It hurts a tiny bit after I swallow sometimes but i almost fear I'm eating too much. The first 2 days I couldn't even get down broth. Is it ok to be doing this well this fast? I'm not stretching my stomach am I???? I mean .. I'm sticking to the 2 ounces at a time I think.

I was sleeved July 30th and also have fibromyalgia.... I am very sore compared to the few other people at the hospital I exchanged numbers with who had it done the same day.. But it's bearable.

I had mine done 7/30 !

Good for you! I'm 4 days out and doing well also! I keep fearing that the discomfort after eating is my stomach stretching back to big because I'm over eating but I'm only eating a few bites so I know I'm just being crazy .

Thanks, today I'm still hurting but i did a lot of walking and was able to eat more today without as much discomfort.

Had my sleeve done 2 days ago and I am sore everywhere head to toe. I can barely eat a spoonful without being stuffed to the point of pain. Please tell me this is normal for 2 days out?

Hi everyone I have been on the pre op journey for 6+ months and finally got my sleeve done yesterday! It's now 3:45am and I'm laying in the hospital bed with major gas pains. I'm so excited though that it doesn't even matter too much. Anyone else recent??????

Hi everyone!! This is my first post, I am scheduled for next Wednesday the 30th of July for my sleeve. I had my Presurgical testing today and am seeing my primary care doc Friday for final clearance. I'm on day 7 of the 2 week liquid diet and I've lost 15 lbs so far! Very exciting to see the scale move down instead of up for once! Anyone else sleeving next week?

My last weigh in is July 1st and I am scheduling my surgery that day as well.... There is a 2 week liquid diet pre-op so I assume my surgery will be towards the end of July (it has to be before august 1st because my insurance is being terminated). So excited and nervous!!!!
