Please I could use some support.
smiley922 replied to Vickiskingdom's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I still feel pain in belly when I get up from sitting, surgery was 10/14. I just got more liquid tylenol to help. by the end of the day I am sore from moving around. Also use hot and cold packs later in the day. I start pureed on 10/28 and can not wait. I think I will first try a soft scrambled egg, small bites, very small bites. Maybe later, refried Beans or black beans mashed and pureed. Protein added to the beans also. -
PostOp Diet... what can I have?
smiley922 replied to mrsaizsha_101's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had surgery on the 14th, and at this time I am allowed full liquids, which includes low fat creamy Soups, and yogurt with no fruit added, no pulp etc, with under 10 carbs per serving. same goes for the Protein drinks, under 10 carbs per serving, I have been using Premier Protein. This goes for 2 weeks post surgery, at the beginning of the third week, I can add the pureed foods, grits, 1 egg, refried Beans, with protein added. see if the NUT can email you your plan so you don't damage your pouch. -
So sorry you are struggling, let us know what they say.

OMG the gurgling has really started, not hunger, just gurgling, feels very strange. And the gas, could take out a room of folks. LOL

@@layknee, I could not drink straight Water at all, or with crystal light, gave me stomach cramping, and liquid burps. Powerade zero much beter as long as its little sips. If I forget and take a bigger sip, cramping in my pouch, ouch. @@superbariatricbabe, I think I have the same stitch in my muscle, on the right side underneath my ribcage. Pulls all the time. Liquid Tylenol does help.

@@layknee you are going thru my biggest fear at this point, god bless and be strong, this too will get better.

I like the blue, orange and strawberry. The red fruit punch tends to be too strong and the lemon lime reminds be of the bowel prep at this point

Also, had to get a treat for some guys who repaired my bumper while I was not driving. Went to a gourmet cupcake shop. Amazed that I could not even smell the buttery sweetness u know was there. No desire at all, and I love cupcakes. Last amazed at no headhunger, and really no appetite. Hope everyone else is the same.

Hey all, weighed in at 168, haven't seen that in 15 years. With my short height and lower bmi at surgery time, it did not take long, long ways to go.

Thought I was in the post surgery thread, moving it over there

How is the georgia crew doing, any decisions on a meet up

@@layknee hope they figure out soon. Water is not my friend post surgery, cramps and liquid burps immediately, though powerade zero is ok so far.

The morphine did its job for me, until I had to give it up. liquid lortab also, though after 4 hours I was ready for more, they wanted me to wait six. I survived. I had a hysterectomy with a 9 inch horizontal incision, morphine pretty much did its job then too. Today just taking tylenol all day, was out and about with my son, then got my nails done. Sore, heating pad on but not bad enough to take my last dose of liquid tylenol.

I am also menopausal, so that could have played into it

I have had the low fat cream of chicken post surgery, and planning on low fat broccoli and cheese today, Protein added to it. the first was no problem. I also woke up with a gurggling belly this morning, and sweating from head to toe, no fever. Musta been bad and ate something in my dreams

Best wishes, you will be a warrior!

My sharp pulling pain is on my right side when getting up, right under the rib there. My large hematoma is on my lower left. today is 7 days post op. I have one more dose of Lortab and I am still very sore, but as doc said, no refills. so worried about how I am gonna be by end of day tomorrow. Wanna see the hematoma, it is not pretty, right on the apron/skirt of fat.

I am one week out today and will reach my protein goal for the first time and will prolly make the liquids also.
-
@@Bronxmerci my doc said dont stress on the protein as long as you keep increasing each day. Don't push your pouch.

@@layknee I am sure as our pouches mature we will be able to handle water, but remember our pouch is like a baby's. I stick with poweade zero for now.
