Interestingly, I had the same feelings until about a week before I started my liquid diet. I was eating everything in sight and then all of a sudden I got pretty Zen about the whole things and realized that I have committed to something pretty radical. I actually planned on eating a ton of food the few days before I started the pre-op diet...even went shopping. I ended up not eating any of the food I bought because I wanted to start being serious. I would say, focus on the end-game. I used to go to food for comfort, now I am using the future and the prospects for the rest of my life to calm me. That is my comfort now.

I am scheduled for July 8 at the University of Miami Hospital. Started pre-op diet, 4 weeks Optifast, on June 10. Nervous, excited, scared. Never felt so many emotions.
