My Bmi was 31 and I got sleeves 7 days ago.. Cuz I couldn't lose the weight and If I wouldn't get this done knowing myself and my love for food... I'd become obese

They told me I will eat less and have to be careful. I was fine with that. And I don't wanna indulge yet but like later after 4 5 months if I go to a bday and they cut a cake I wanna be able to take a bite of it without feeling like omg wth am I doing...

Is anyone having fat free fruit flavoured yoghurt? In the first two weeks?

My diet plan as per my nutritionist is to drink one glass of ensure a day. Did any of you get this?? I'm just concerned whether it's sweet or too many carbs for me??

Got sleeved on 14th June.. Weight 70 kgs and started liquids from 15th and today the 19th I weigh 75.9... It's amaZing. Finally seems to be worth all the trouble. Hope I keep losing like this. Also, since it's only been five days my incisions don't hurt except one where they took the stomach out from.. Gross. Yesterday that cut was oozing pink stuff out I got scared and called my doc and he said chill this is normal just put some gauz and paper tape on it. I told my mom and she freaked out and she said no let's go show it to him now which we did and he cleaned it up and put a new band aid on it and told me to change the band aid after showering every time. This morning I see pink stuff again.. Did anyone experience this?

Am only three days post op got discharged from the hospital today... Am still uncomfortable in the surgery area but walking around is better. My only prob is the coughing as when I cough my stomach hurts and in scared something inside will burst like a stitch or something... What can I do to prevent it? I'm getting v scared...

Two days out of surgery and I feel like crap... Will it get better? Cuz I'm already regretting. My stomach hurts like a bitch and I've been coughing so hurts even more!

my surgery is in two days. i go on liquid and v balanced foods from tomorrow. how are we sure that this will work? what if this fails also like all the other diets and exercise regimes??? what if i cant stop myself from eating???? how does the hunger stop??? i'm so worried.

Wow I swear your post actually made me breath a sigh of relief Thank you. How was your experience? What did u eat before pre op and first week after surgery? how do you take your vitamins after the surgery if it has to be just liquids?? Would love to know details... and thanks once again... i'm looking forward to the month after the surgery.... i just don't want to gain it back again.. EVER...

Thanks everyone!! What all can i drink on my liquid diet? and after surgery can i have whey Protein shake in chocolate flavour. its low on carbs but i dont know how bad is the sugar for me... I'm so confused and uneasy. Tomorrow i will just have Breakfast Cereal and milk and clear Soup all day. Same for Fri. and Sat early morning surgery. i am 26 years old and my BMI is 31.5 or 32... my weight is 80 kgs. I have been losing and gaining all my life and i'm getting married in dec so i want to lose all of my weight. but im scared what if this doesnt work either? and how bad is the surgery? what will happen? On Friday morning is my surgery. I am so scared. I need some words of encouragement. As i am getting scared that something will happen although i'm hoping and praying. I hope theres not a lot of pain and no complications and i'm able to cope with the new diet.

My surgery is on Friday morning.... I am so scared.... Can someone please pump me up that it will be ok?? I'm scared I will die

I got my CBC blood count test and my haemoglobin is 11.0 and normal ratio is 11.1 to 14.5 is that a problem???? In the CBC profile my m.c.v is 73.7 and normal is 76 to 96 and my m.c.h is 23.2 and normal is 26 to 32. I have already been given my surgery dates and I mean what's less isn't a lot, can I still get surgery done?????

My surgery will be sometime in June but I am getting so scared. Can someone pump me up for it? Like I'm scared about something going terribly wrong in surgery or dying or leak. Who all have gotten it done and were completely successful?? Am getting so scared

Thank you The diet that they have given me is not liquid it's balanced meals low carb. After two weeks they run my tests and then will give me a date... Hope my parents don't change their minds till then! Good luck with your surgery. Be safe and careful

Hi, I am 26 years of age and my BMI is 32. I want to get this surgery done for SURE as I have dieted a lot and have gained all of it again a number of times and i feel like a YOYO. I have done a lot of research on this surgery and because I have PCOS my gyne also said i should opt for this surgery for permanent weight loss. I already met with the surgeon and he said i should go for it but have to meet his dietician first. So I am going to meet the dietician in a couple of hours. I want to know how long is the liquid diet for? I want to get the surgery in June and not any later as I have to travel in August to America for a wedding and I live in Pakistan. How difficult is the liquid diet? Will I have to wait for a long time for the surgery cuz I read some places that they make you go on a diet for a long time before the surgery. :\ Also what tests do they do before the surgery? I am also worried that if the tests are not ok what if they deny me of surgery?? Any help will be appreciated. Hope it all works out.
