  1. I am about 2 and half weeks post op. For the last 2 days I have been have this pain in my left side. It will hurt sometimes if I sit down or stand up or even at times if I talk. I have not had pain in my side at all until now. Is this normal? It is almost like I have pull ed d something.

  2. Same here. I had mine on the 7th. Still having a hard time with Protein but I hate that stuff.

Mine was May 12th also. I lost 17 on the pre-op diet but I'm waiting to get on the scale until my post-op appointment. I'm feeling pretty blessed. Not much pain or discomfort. No nausea. I'm able to get my fluids in. Haven't hit my protein but I'm coming pretty close. Looking forward to this new life!

  3. I feel fine as far a surgery wise. That whole thing went surprisingly well for me. I have a few things post op related that I am struggling with. Like telling the difference between hunger pains and actual stomach pains. I have problem getting down all that liquid and Protein. The shakes taste nasty to me. But I am thinking I will have to try pure Protein to go ahead and get it over with faster. I had the worst case of Constipation yesterday. I will spare you the details. Let's just say I was glad we were at the urgent care for my husband when I tried to go to bathroom. I really thought I was gonna have to pull that emergency cord in there. It was HORRIBLE! But I still have those surreal moments where I just think to myself "Did I really do that (surgery)". But I am sure I will be fine. However, I am interested to see what my 4/5 month will be like because it seems like those are the months a lot of people on her struggle.

Hope you are recovering nicely after your surgery. I am amazed at how much energy I have now. I am on week four and about to begin regular foods (protein). It is great Are you on full liquids. I lived on Isopure and pure Protein Shakes. The shakes have 35 grams of protein and isopure has 40 grams. That is pretty much teh daily intake. I then had an outshine popsicle in the evenings and oh yeah plenty of Water witha little cranberry juice. Down 21 pounds since April 19, 2014.

    How are you feeling?

  4. My thoughts EXACTLY!!!!

2 years out and 200 lbs down? 10 lbs from goal? I say don't take just a bite......eat it all.........a bite is just the kind of test we couldn't pass and ended up here......embrace it...own it....enjoy it.... And then get back up on the horse like you've done so well for the past almost 2 years......really.....live a bit......it's a pop tart, not heroin:)

Okay so I told my hubby I needed a pop tart...He said go on the forum and tell them that you want a pop tart and they will tell you in not a kind way to not eat that damn pop tart...

I really want a strawberry one with frosting guys......Just one.....Me bad!

I wonder what I am really needing for my body that makes me think a pop tart will do it for me.....Toasted and warm....Dang it!!! Almost 2 years out and want something so menial. Fighting..But still want one!!!!! :(

  5. Just make sure you put a roll or 2 of quarters in your pockets when they are ready weigh you. Seriously no need to stress about it. It won't do any good anyway and Always works out for your good anyway!!

I understand I have my surgery on May 22 so im 5 days out. My nerves and my anxiety levels have been very high. I was told at my last Dr's visit to watch how much im losing because I have to stay above 35 BMI or I can't have the surgery and I'm really close at 36 BMI so I have that to stress me out to. I think everything well be much better losing the rest of my weight.

  6. Perfect reply!!!

I totally know how you feel. I was sleeved on 4/25/14 and 7 days before my procedure my anxiety started going crazy. I couldn't sleep, I was moody & I began to fear the same surgery that I'd been looking forward to for months. I also had a large hernia that I was scared wld cause a problem. I would stay up all night imagining all the things that could go wrong & try to predict how I would be feeling when I awoke from anesthesia..

Try to pray/meditate. Bc the worrying & anxiousness will only rob you of the true excitement of your new Beginning❤️❤️.

  7. I live in Magnolia,Tx but work in Cupress,Tx. I had my sleeve on March 13, 2014. So far have lost 30.6 lbs. but now I've developed a lot of acid reflux. My throat burns no matter what I eat. This just started about 4 days ago. Going to call my dr office on Monday. I can hardly eat because it feels like I'll throw up. It's not coming from my stomach bit all seems to be in my esophagus. Has anyone experienced this?

My Dr automatically puts his patients on Pepcid AC daily so I gave not had any issues so far

  8. Linn, thank you for your prayers for my surgery. I felt prayers of many; I was calm and had so much peace and absolutely no jitters or second thoughts. I was actually ready to do this thing. Strict dieting, even 6 wks of Optifast , is no stranger to me so I didn't have a problem just drinking. Post surgery as he only required low fat pre op diet. I am 2 wks out and still drinking full liquids, but will transition to puréed foods on Monday. So far I have lost 34 lbs. my Dr is very pleased. He wants 50lbs off @ 3 months and told me I am way ahead if the game. From what I've read, I believe I can do that. I wish you well on finding a group in your area. God Bless You.

    You Go Girl!!!!
