I have seen many people speak about slider foods. What does that mean or what are some examples?

I got banded on May 30th so in 7 days it wasn't till day 5 that pain was bearable for me. Never felt hunger till last night. I walked and paced in my house or outside when I want resting. Today I start soft food and I'm truly scared. You got this and I just keep telling myself that this is a journey not just a moment. Journey is going to have some ups and downs. Keep on posting.

I got banded on the 30th. My gas pains were bad. But the first day afterwards I paced the house. Second day I got outside and paced the driveway. Third day I walked my road. I used a heating pad for my shoulder and when I walked I put my arms above my head to open my lungs since I had problems breathing when I woke up from surgery. I'm on 5 days now no pain meds but still taking it easy. I have more energy and feel my best in the mornings but by the evening I'm sore so I kick back. Good luck and sorry I rambled on. ...

Still a little sore but I have walked every day further than the day before. My biggest problem is getting enough of the Protein Shakes in me. I get my morning one down with no problem. But I struggle the rest of the day. Also since I have been drinking my Water but can't get rid of this nasty film and taste in my mouth. If anyone has any advice please share. I'm just starting to feel a little hungry. Can't wait for the next stage.

Thank you all so much. I love the encouragement. It means a lot to me. I think the hardest part had been not knowing someone personally that has done this. So I love the support here. I'm sure once is done I'll have lots of questions.

I know that feeling. My surgery is on Friday and I still feel like something is going to happen. So this morning I made my first Protein Shake and I'm struggling to get it down. I packed a Jello and popsicle for work. Plus another shake. I have beef broth for dinner tonight. Im starting a journal of this whole experience and luckily I have some real supportive friends. That helps

I have noticed that a lot start the pre- opp diet a lot longer where I start mine on a tues and surgery is on a Friday. I just really want the wait to be over so I can get pay the waiting. Best of luck bee. Keep us posted.

Wow this is all so interesting to me I get mine on the 27th. I wondered if the fill would hurt. ... my nerves are getting the best of me.

Well I got the news this week I'm cleared for surgery and can schedule for may 27.... no time to think about it. .. lots to do. Feeling a little overwhelmed.

Wow. .. I love the new thinking. I also just got the call today that things are moving faster than planned. I could have the surgery in as little as 2 weeks. Wow a lot can happen in 24 hours. I go tonight for my ekg and bloodwork. I know I'm ready. Thank you for being so nice and I love the replies. I'll keep you posted.

My nerves are in overdrive, I'm approaching 39 in July and I know I want to have made a change by 40. This is the closest I have ever felt to actually being able to achieve my goal. Insurance has approved the procedure so the ball is rolling. I'm at a point where I am over food and just want the basics but as i approach a surgery date I have thoughts of "my last meal". Is this a normal thought? Just wondering

I got banded on May 30th and what a wild journey. The first two days was painful but on day three I was walking and exercising and pretty shocked at how I felt. On the day of surgery I weighed 255 and 30 days later I got on the scale this morning and weighed 220. I'm in shock. I'm happy and feeling great. My son tells me that he is proud of me which I'm not use to.
I had my first fill and up to 3.5 ccs and I was so nervous for nothing. I catch myself wanting to eat when I'm not hungry and that will be my hardest hurdle. But I'm still loving life right now. I have no regrets.
