belovedwar got a reaction from built2livenotexist in Insurance doesn't cover surgery.
My insurance didn't cover it. I bit the bullet and paid for it on CareCredit. My surgery was $14,500 + labs. I want to say it was approximately a total of $20k. My surgery was in San Antonio, Tx. I'm 6 months out and happy I did it. I'm down 91#s and have a long way to go, but it is well worth it. In January I could barely walk and now I'm enjoying my stroll through the park. This is about you and if you can afford it, do it! You are worth every penny!

belovedwar reacted to Kindle in 100 pounds lighter today!
I really didn't think I'd do it. My goal was -88. I've been hovering right around -98-99 for awhile but wasn't trying to lose anymore. Then I went on a carb binge (ice cream, bread, muffins, chips, chocolate, Cookies, potatoes and LOTS of alcohol) while traveling to visit family and attend a conference and gained 4 pounds. I was totally OK with it, since I was still below goal. But after just 10 days back to my normal eating routine, I lost that 4 pounds plus 1 extra to hit the magic number 100.
I'm not real big on the scale numbers, but this one does feel kinda cool

belovedwar got a reaction from hopeful one in Hair lost anybody out there?
Omg! I knew it was a side affect, but I was not mentally prepared for it, I have started to take a supplement that the Dr. Recommended, it name is "It Works! hair skin nails". One of my fellow sleevelers said it has worked for her, as far as stopping the Hair loss. I've only been on it 2.5 weeks I'll post again in a few weeks.
