  1. My surgery was the same day. I am just the opposite. I've gone a week with only 1. I am not sure which is normal. I think everyone is different but I know when I focus on high Protein I've always gotten constipated.

I have a friend just like you and only goes once a week.... I feel like an odd ball.

  3. I am 4 months out and I am always tired. It's non stop. I come home and crash. I am a bit lazy with my nutrients. But I do have a sublingual B12 everyday. My Iron is def low and that also causes fatigue. I wish I could just get the b12 and iron shots and be good. I think I am going to talk to my surgeon because it's getting harder to function.

Do they do iron injections? I'm wondering if my irons low.

  4. About a month ago I was so tired and could hardly lift my arms! I talked with my doctor and they told me that I needed to up my B-12 to 2000mg. I would speak with you surgeon. Hope you get some energy.

That could also be a problem I was doing injections but where I live we've run dry so I have to buy the pills and I think they are 1250 each pill

  5. When I first had my surgery, that was exactly the way I felt. In checking with a bunch of other people who had surgery around the same time found out that they were in the same boat. Your body has gone through surgery and many changes. You will be tired for a while, but you will eventually get your strength back. Don't rush it.

Thank you I was just worried I am always just do tired I need some energy lol thank you bunches for responding

  6. My advice: keep trying! I'm only 6 days post op, and I am still above my pre surgery weight (grrr!). I've tried to add more Water, but it's a game (how much can I drink before I hurt) every minute. Do check your inches.

Also, how do you feel today? Do you feel better, can you move easier, is walking better? Try not to fear the numbers, they are just numbers. (That being said, I should try to follow my own advice!)

Seems to me you are doing great!! Although, I would be angry/frustrated. :-)

Ps: funny looking suture would have me in a fit to see my surgeon!

One reason I'm not to worried about talking to him about the suture is because he has already told me my ab wall was thick and so he had to go in really deep so anchored everything down really well so I'm thinking that's what it is. I have days that are easier than others :) But I know I'm going to be on the side of loosing soon lol. I need to simply be worried about health right now :)

  7. I'm sure you're upset and for sure wondering what's going on with the weight loss. My mom stalled but was loosing inches. Maybe it would help the nerves by switching focus from pounds lost to how great of a job you are doing each day by sticking to your guidelines and exercise, and making heathy choices. I'm sure you're already doing this though :) keep up you're awesome work! You're body will heal up and things will start balancing out too. You've done a lot to get to where you are now keep that hard work flowing forward :)

    Thank you so much :)

  8. Tigerlily14 hang in there I agree with the above statements give your body time to heal it can take 8 weeks for your body to heal and the Protein Shakes and Water helps your body heal as far as your incision goes I will discuss this with your doctor I'm sure you will start loosing soon I had 2 stalls and I'm only 8 weeks out , you will get there .

Thank you that actually makes me a lot better I need to redo my measurements and see if I'm at least loosing inches :)

  9. tigerlily14---I would also recommend talking with your surgeon; not that anything is "wrong" about not losing more than 5 pounds, but because you're still having pain and the suture "looks funny".

Don't be too discouraged...you are not very far out from surgery and your body is HEALING. You may just be one of us who loses slower than others...but it will come off, just don't give up!!

Keep us posted on your progress.

I go to my surgeon in a couple of weeks so I'm hoping I can hold off till then about the pain.... But. Its discouraging cause as heavy as I am the weight should be falling off and its not I just wanna cry.

  10. I had surgery the bypass 6/24/14 and almost a month out and I'm not loosing I've maybe lost 5 pounds since surgery... I am doing everything I'm suppose to so what could be wrong? I'm so upset I'm still in pain I have a stitch that has not dissolved and you look st stomach and see that is pulled tight my stomach indents do it still is very sore and tender, I still can't lie in my bed I sleep sitting up every night. I do not regret my decision just don't know what I'm doing wrong and wondering when or of I will ever be normal again.

Thank you all to can give me advice I wish you all good luck on your journeys :)

  11. My first update for you all. I Had my surgery at the 7:30am yesterday and took about 3 hours total. I started walking 3 )

Hours after my surgery. So far I am feeling very I am feeling pretty good. Around 8 Am I will go down and have it checked for leaks. If it's good I will start phase 1 diet today. My mouth is very dry an d can't wait to have a drink of something. Very little pain so far, but I'm sure that could change. If all goes as planned, I will be home Thursday in the afternoon. I hope all my other buddies are doing well. I will update tomorrow!!

High I was wondering where you had surgery and who your surgeon was everything you've said sounds like my surgery lol :)

  12. If you're willing to pay the shipping, I'd gladly pack and ship them to you. It is quite a few pieces so I'm not sure what it would cost. I can ask my husband, he works for FedEx, what it would cost to ship it and can let you know?!

If its not to expensive I do not mind paying shipping at all.... If you can ask and give me a hollar my zip code is 30577.

  13. I guess I'm vain as well, I mean I have been over weight since I was a very small child... I've never really known what it was like to go shopping and having fun I was wearing adult clothing while I was in elementary school, I was always made fun of even by the only boyfriend I ever had at the time. I was always embarrassed never had cute clothes always tried to make my hair look good though and I even had people comment I had a beautiful face and gorgeous hair but what's that matter when no one still never pays you attention? I got pregnant in 97 with my oldest child and the dad never even cared and later that year my ex husband and I got together he loved me no matter what but we were better friends than a married couple, we did have 2 more children though before we parted ways well we will never part ways but before we got our divorce.... I was looking into gastric bypass then and it's finally happened I waited 11 years I'm just glad it's finally here..... And I can get on with looking good, feeling good, spending quality time with my children, worshiping in church like I want too, I am ready to come out of my shell and be me ;) so yes I'm vain :)
