Banded 7 years ago , had a 2 mil unfill last year because of night cough and acid . All great after wards , 12 month later night cough and acid again 2 mil unfill all good again except now Get big chest pains a few times a day plus lots of gas since the unfil any ideas ??

I had a band fitted 5 years ago and was happy with the weight loss. For the last year I developed severe reflux , night cough, sliming. Etc. Surgeon reduced my fill by half and the symptoms disappeared immediately. BUT I’ve also gained a ton of weight in 2 months , feel no restriction and get severe bloating. Anyone else have this problem . Going to try a little fill ( after the holidays !!🤪)

All I can say is that I had my fill reduced from 8 to 4 and the acid stopped immediately . Surgeon said if that didn’t work he’d check to see if band had slipped as that can cause reflux

Started with 8 mil = way too tight , reduced to 4 mil gained lots of weight , refil up to 6 mil , no weight loss v little restriction ....

Gained 42 pound in 4 months eating too much due to zero restriction plus eating stuff I never used to eg candy ice cream pastries carbs 😡back to doc Jan 6

I had severe acid reflux night cough and sliming my surgeon halved the fill in my band and my problems disappeared - immediately, problem is I’ve gained 18 pounds in 2 months !!!! back to square 1 ...,

I had this problem for a year and it was pretty severe . Most foods bounced back with slime . Even water could only be taken by sipping . Eventually had an infill , 4 m taken out of an 8 m fill = instant relief , no acid no vomit no night cough etc etc full nights sleep BUT , 10 pounds gain - eating everything in sight 😡

So I finally saw my surgeon yesterday . He said what I explained were classic symptoms of a over tight band - it can self tighten over the 4 years since my last fill . My band had 8 mil in he’s reduced to 4 and we will build up over time to maybe 6.5 or 7 as 8 is too much for me ! Results ? Fantastic , no reflux no coughing no vomiting more sleep - a success at £200 gbp

I’m off to see the doc in July about this ... I hope solution is not another surgery - I can’t afford it ! Maybe an un fill will solve this . My original surgeon said the band may naturally tighten by itself over the years so maybe that’s what’s happened . Time will tell

For the past year I have problems sometimes getting food down. 3 years since last fill !! ,Maybe not enough chewing but I sometimes regurgitate food ( have to leave the table to spit in the toilet ) it’s not acidic just recently chewed food . I get the same with hot or cold drinks - ok with room temp drinks - milk also causes the problem. Most nights I have a real bad cough - I used to have acid reflux too but now mostly under control with gaviscon and two books propping up the head end of my bed . Weight loss has stalled too but as I’m private patient in UK a visit to the doc will cost about $300 ....stuck for ideas . Plus if I go too long without food I get a tasteless white frothy thing going on in my mouth

Hi I was taught the 20-20-20 rule. That is chew food 20 times before swallow. Wait 20 seconds before next bite. After 20 minutes walk away from the meal. No matter what’s left on the plate .....

Help and advice support , I've gained 16 pounds since my post surgery low weight point - need help getting back on the waggon feeling despondent ☹️

Hi I'm about 3.5 years out of surgery .since last fill Ive lost about 50 pounds in total But in the last 8 months I've gained about 10 pounds. I now have slime backing up if I eat too quick and some acid back flush through the night, and some weird noisy burping and gurgling noises coming from the throat can the band tighten up through weight gain ? reasons for gain are sliders lots of business meals and lots of long haul flying any comments welcome

I've stalled for 4 months 5 pound off 5 pound on yo yo style I never give up but the real killer blow was when my dad said "are you putting weight on?" I was crushed I've lost 32 pounds but that never made the headlines !!!!

My surgeon said don't drink w hile eating as this can wash food through the band too quick seems to make sense so why r people here drinking with meal ? Also alcohol makes me real hungry!!!

Two for me first is take a long hot bath and lie in the tub number two wear my sharp Nina Cerrutti suit

Had an extra 1 mill fill today that's 6 in total. I've lost 33 per cent of excess weight but I've stalled. Surgeon is happy with progress but I'm impatient. Was banded April 15' so early days......

Banded April 15 and have lostr 28 pounds, I've been stalled for 3 weeks and don't exercise coz I don't have time and no interest in it, I think about exercise and feel sleepy!! I'm due a first fill monday will I start losing again or must I exercise

Here's my problem. ... and yes I know I control what goes in my mouth but........I'm travelling on business for 7 days and every meal is a restaurant meal two months since surgery and this is temptation city
