About me (11months post op)----with photos
missbrown30 replied to jenjo11072013's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Jenjo you really look amazing! You sure don't look "big" in your photo. You look so tiny in that black dress (unless that isn't really you, lol). However, I truly understand how you feel. I'm 6.5 months out and have lost just 5# in the past 2 months. Im starting to believe that I'm not going to lose the last 25# I need to lose (all stomach). We bot should probably take Cowgirl Jane's advice and up the exercise and lower the carb intake. Good Luck!!! -
153, again . I'm starting to think I'm never gonna lose the last 23 pounds...but I'm not gonna stop trying. Have a great weekend everyone!

4 Months post op - Need some exercise help
missbrown30 replied to Firefly2000's topic in Fitness & Exercise
I feel you Firefly. I'm trying to lose my last 23-28 pounds by NYE also. My weight too has slowed. I've only lost 5# in the last 7-9 weeks. I do believe it's doable for you to lose the rest of the weight by NYE but you are definitely going to have to add weight training at least 3 times a week for a minimum of 45 minutes to reach this goal. Good Luck! -
I'm 153# today. Yay! Slow weight loss but inches are definitely coming off. I'll take it.

Unfortunately, I'm still at 156

Young and Sleeved: My Journey
missbrown30 replied to Nicole925's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hi Nicole925. I'm so glad you posted. Our journey sounds similar. I am 37 years old. I was also sleeved and had my gallbladder removed on April 8th. I feel you about the nausea after surgery. The narcotic pain meds were too strong for me. I wasn't able to walk until the next day because I couldn't wake up from the anesthesia and when I did I couldn't stand up too long because of the nausea. I ended up needing a pain patch and a nausea patch for the rest of my hospital stay (2 days). I was lucky to not have any pain other than gas pain after the 3rd day. My weight on the day of surgery was 207 but my pre-op weight was 219. I had my 6 mo (24 week) check up today and my surgeon was very pleased. I'm down a total of 63 lbs (51 lbs from SW) with 30 more to go until I reach goal. We talked about the possibility of plastic surgery because my boobs are hanging flapjacks (lol) and my tummy bears most of my weight. I'm so proud of the both of us! I wish you all the best on the test of your journey. -
My surgeon recommended that I not have rice, bread, pasta or pizza for the first six months. I tried eating rice but it didn't agree with my new tummy. I would suggest you talk to your surgeon and NUT about what is allowed on your plan.

I'm still 158 lbs, I think I'm officially in a stall, again

Post Sleevers...Please Post Your Stats
missbrown30 replied to 2late4bed's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I am 37 years old, 5 feet even. My highest recorded weight was 235#. However, when I started my recent weight loss journey in Sept 2013 my weight was 219#. I weighed 207# on the day of surgery, 4/8/14. I am 5 months post op and currently weigh 158# (61 pounds down). My goal is 130#. Although I believe I am a slow loser, I am losing so that makes me happy. I will try to upload some pictures but I'm not really a picture taker (even now that I've lost 61#). I wish you all the best on your journey. Believe and conquer!
