  1. Wow, you look fantastic! Love the pics
  2. @@Dr-Patient - I am definitely sending good vibes your way. I know you can reach your goal weight whether it be 170 or 150...I am right there with you on the Lays potato chips thing as the lightly salted ones are my downfall. However, I just don't bring them in my house which seems to have solved the problem. Soooo you already know that you have to increase Protein and exercise and decrease those carbs (lol) and you will reach your goal in no time...Good Luck
  3. You look wonderful. Congratulations

    Any Philadelphia Sleevers

Good luck to everyone of you who are scheduled to have surgery or who have recently had surgery. I had my gastric sleeve surgery/gallbladder removal surgery on 4/8/14 by Dr. Aley Tohamy at Chestnut Hill Hospital. Dr. Tohamy has since relocated to Crozer Hospital in Chester, PA. He is the best!!!! My surgery and recovery went well. I haven't had any complications from surgery. I stick to my plan for the most part but I've had days where I ate things I wasn't supposed to eat (not very often). Please listen to your tummies because it will let you know which foods it likes and those it doesn't like. I'm now 7 months out and down a total of 71 pounds. I have 18 pounds more to lose to reach my goal weight. Again, I wish you all the best

83 lbs. lost in 7 months!

Congratulations on the weight loss! I believe many of us still struggle with eating too fast and taking larger bites than we should. Just last night I had to pay close attention to how large of a bite I was eating. But practice makes perfect, lol. I wish you continued success

11 months before and in progress

Hi Brandigirl, Congratulations on your weight loss. It seems like you know what you have to do to lose those last 40#. You just have to put your mind to it and remain focused (I know it's easier said than done). But I agree that it can be extremely tough and frustrating. I still have 23# to lose to reach my goal but it seems like lately the weight just doesn't want to come off (i.e. I've lost 5# in the last 8 weeks, ugh). On the days when I can't make it to the gym I just walk on my treadmill while watching tv. I figure it beats laying on the couch watching tv, lol. Even if you don't have any exercise equipment at home, there are a few phone apps that can help you get moving. I wish you all the best on your journey. Stay encouraged!
