Got my flu vaccine yesterday. I know it doesnt cover everything but I really want to stay on top of my health if possible.

Layknee. Warm fluids or at least room temp is better. I think your surgeon needs to be more involved with your care. Are you able to call him or text him? Maybe he has a answering service. Your health is very important & under no circumstances should you be put off after a major surgery. My 2 cents.

Mrsaizha I understand how you feel I was confused 1 week out I had received a folder from my surgeons office & paper work from the hospital that had diff stages of food. I called my NUt & she said I could have five foods up to 3 weeks out including a Protein Shake & 64 ounces of Water. Cottage cheese, Beans, egg whites, yogurt & suger free pudding. The beans had to be pureed. This site has been very helpful. Everyone seems to have a different plan. Good luck on your journey. Sticking to your Dr's plan is always best.

Yep I am back taking prilosec which I took before my surgery. You need to get something because it can cause an ulcer.

Wow walkin'onsunshine. I cant believe you are lifting weights. My surgeon said no lifting greater then 10lbs for 6 weeks. These Doctors are so different on there post op orders.

Thanks we have our own chickens so I am able to use fresh eggs as needed. I bought some I cant believe its not butter spray & cook my egg white in a pan. Add a little salt & pepper its pretty good. I bought an egg poaching pain & it cooks my egg white with steam. I dont measure just use one egg white for a meal. It might be a little more then 1 ounce but I do ok with it.

Any suggestions? I am wanting to purchase one but I am not sure which one to pick.

I have mended all my scrubs. I am going to wait as long as I can before buying new scrubs. I might get a pair as I decrease in size until I reach my goal weight.

I am 2-weeks post op & had to go out of town yesterday. I had 1 ounce of yogurt about 6:45 am but at 5 pm I hadnt eaten. I had drank Water & a Protein Shake in between. So on our way out of town I told my husband I just need a place with chicken noodle Soup I could drink the broth. My body was hungry I was weak & shaky. I saw a taco bell. I ordered a side of Beans for 30 cents no cheese & no sauce. I ate the beans scared hoping they were low fat. Thinking I was going to get sick. Nope tolerated them well. I told my husband I'm a cheap date. Haha

My surgery date was October 1st. Its nice to read all the positive comments. I feel great! I can see my body shrinking. I have lost 11 pounds since my surgery date. Just ate a weight watchers fudge popsicle I hope it dont make me sick. I am looking forward to Oct 20 thats when I will get to introduce more food. I currently get 5 foods, cottage cheese, yogurt, Beans, sf pudding & egg white. I have not tried an egg yet. My NUT said if anything bothers me it will be the egg. So I am scared. Getting my Water & a 50 gram Protein Shake in daily. Thank you for starting this thread.

I didnt want to say anything to my employer in the beginning but when the time came I had to tell them. I took the FMLA it gives you 12 weeks of time off for medical reasons & helps me secure my position. I was also sick last December. I had used up 7-weeks of my fmla & im taking 6 weeks off for this surgery. My employer has went above & beyond to allow me the allotted time plus they are going to get donated PTO to help me get a paycheck after my 5 weeks of PTO has run out. Im thankful they are supportive of my situation.

@ TangiCeleste I am glad you are doing good. Did you & your hubby work things out? I started cleaning today swept a couple floors but got a left side pain. I wonder if its a stitch or something.
