ProudGrammy - Not teasing;) Dang sports injury. Like JamieLogical mentioned its typical with long distance. I have a race on May 7th and the 21st. My hope is they fall off before then. Christlnmo7 - A soak in epsom salt sounds good. I'm going to pick some up and talk a hot bath.

Jamie did you do your race yet?

      My race is tomorrow!

  2. I am relearning once again. I have a new sports medicine dietician/nutritionist for running endurance/performance. My calorie intake has been way to low for the amount of calories I burn. (causing significant hair loss at a year and a half out) Holy Crap! Calorie intake is now 2000. Protein goal 204g 30% Carbs 272g 40% Fat 91g. 30% Its 10:30pm I'm not at 2000 yet.

The days I'm not training I get in 1300 to 1500 calories in. Training I burn 700 to 1000 calories with cardio. Eating 2000 calories is comparable to grazing. I eat a normal portion when I feel space in my tummy I eat again. I eat from 7:00am I finish around 1:00am its a all day project.

I had lunch yesterday with a friend (he is also sleeved ) He finished his meal and had it boxed. He was sweet enough to wait for me to finish an entire plate of food.

Okay, that makes more sense then. I did an experiment a couple of days ago to see how many calories I could get in in one day. I managed to get just below 3000, but I had to eat 10 separate times and I had to eat a ton of CRAP. I felt terrible after, so I don't think that's a good long term solution for me. I was trying to figure out how I could "load up" on calories the day before one of my long runs. But after eating all the crap, I felt terrible and definitely not up for a long run. So I am going to have to figure out something else.

Balancing protein, fruit, vegetables and carbs for 500 cal for each meal so far is working. I cant stomach loading up on an all carb meal in one sitting. It make me feel crappy.

  3. Making the best of the hairloss situation. Actually haveing fun with it..Who knew how far wigs have come over the years. Loving it.

So true the guys look better with hair loss. I tell my husband its just more skin to touch. Not such a good look on me. Seems most people hair grows back six months after it started to shed. I was not so lucky. Had to laugh I need one with a bit of gray hair in it. I posted a quick picture of it. http://www.bariatricpal.com/gallery/image/86250-year-1/

  11. This will be the first time my step daughter has seen me in a year since WLS. I pick her up from the air port tomorrow. ( she lives out of state) Everyone that lives close have seen the wight loss. They are over the shock. I'm dreading her reaction and questions. Damn I'm nervous.

Gowalking mountaingirl. She is one of the many family members I did not tell about my WLS. She seen me at a family event last August. I was 40lbs down. Her first comment when she saw me was..... "what a transformation" She has never had weight issues. I now weigh less than my step daughter. Family has seen a few photos. I'm understanding of peoples responses when they have not seen the gradual change. Just don't want my weight to be a topic while she is here to visit.

    3. FocusOnMeNow

      FocusOnMeNow

But of course it will be since she might not even recognize you. If you don't want it to be a topic of discussion during the visit you might want to consider discussing it with her in advance.

    4. Healthy_life2

      Healthy_life2

She was supportive until now. The issue seems to be I weigh less than her now. Again she is a healthy weight. It's the initial shock that gets me. Moving on with her stay. I'm over it

Just checked the news today they are asking residents to evacuate that live 10 miles away from the winery. The fire is 11% contained...No cancellation yet...Why am I so optimistic. It would be an experience to run next to the vineyards with a wild fire in the distance.

Correct form. Some machines don't fit a woman's frame. I used a exterior oblique machine to strengthen my core. It will build muscle to make your mid section thick (straight up and down waist) Not an hourglass shape. Who knew...lol

Oh okay. That is nice your gym has a class like that. I read this article a long time ago https://www.t-nation.com/training/sexy-female-training and talked to some trainers.
