    Motivation? Energy?

Morning, I'm awake and so excited. I'm going out into the cold to run my first 5k since surgery.I lost my Mom last year. My uncle provided her hospice care. He has not seen me since I visited her before she passed. I was 104 pounds heavier. I'm sending him photos of the race today. After all he has been through in the last year. I hope to make him smile for the day. Love my family so much. Holding my breath until I can talk to him on the phone. So so thankful.....

I get the frustration. You have invested your time money and health into this. You are the only person that can put into practice what you want out of your sleeve. 67 down!

    Clothes

Our local bariatric support groups have clothing exchanges. It's good to clean out the closet and donate it to the group.

    Thanksgiving depression

I'm 5 months out. I'm in the real food phase. Went to a bariatic cooking class. The subject was the holiday's. We had Turkey...Green beans with orange and sliced almonds...Sweet potatoes...Sugar free pumpkin cheese cake. I don't feel deprived at all. Same tastes of the holiday without all the over stuffing yourself. I'm also jogging in the Turkey day 5K in the morning then dinner at 4:00pm with friends and family.

My Quirks, My Quirks, My Lovely Sleeved Quirks.

I do find myself trying to compare my body to others in a store or on the street. It's not out of trying to compete with people. It's out of I have no idea how I look. I want to see If I'm a normal size compared to others. Great find on the cups. They are now so mine...... Off to walmart
  17. @@IcanMakeit Thanks for posting this question. I just talked to my PA at my dr's office. I get in about 900 calories. They want me to up it to 1200 to 1500 calories. I have the same fears of gaining or not being able to maintain once I get to goal. I have always failed in the maintenance phase of my previous diets. I know this is different with weight loss surgery but I'm still scared. Hoping to hear from people in maintenance.

  22. 5 months out and today I woke up to a normal BMI. I have no idea how to take this yet. I don't remember a time when my weight was ever normal. When I look at myself I still don't see normal..I see my therapist next month. Ohhhh we have some work to do on this.

What? a normal BMI..What is normal to you?

@@joatsaint I do understand that. I have been judged and have judged myself for a long time about my weight. Going by how you look and feel. I feel amazing. Life is good! I just don't see it in the mirror yet. Funny how distorted I am about my body. Oh yes bring on the therapy!
