    NSV shout outs

You know when you had weight loss surgery when..... NSV...You finish jogging on the treadmill at the gym. The person on the treadmill next to you say's thanks for motivating me to stay for an hour. They introduce themselves and you find out they are a high school physical education teacher.
  3. @@Folly I had to laugh because I'm having the same libido increase. Yes off the scale and my husband is enjoying. I'm also wondering when or if this will level out to normal. I agree. No one mentioned the libido issue. Hope to get more input on this..Any takers????
  4. @@Folly I hope you posted that in the valentines thread for Alex. Fantastic story. Ok I'm open for this conversation. I have been with my husband since I was in my 20's. Sex was amazing then. We got older and my weight increased and my health declined. Sex honestly became a chore. I lost my drive. My amazing husband has stuck it out through some tough times with my health issues. To have me back means more to him than the weight loss. Don't get me wrong. The weight loss has been a great thing for our sex life. He has seen me at my heaviest weight so loose skin is nothing to make me self conscious. I'm loving dressing up for him and going out on dates. I'm still getting used to him telling me I'm hot. Very sweet but I don't see it. He has taken me to Victoria's secret and walked out with size small pantie's big NSV. I'm very open, adventurous, loving life and in love with my husband. The sleeve has done a big turn around in our lives. SOOOOO thankful. The hair issue...Pulling my hair in bed in my 20's was hot..Now that I'm loosing hair with weight loss hair is precious to me.

    Diabetes?

@@619Raf Hello, I'm a type one diabetic and sleeved. normal range is 70-120 fasting. I now have more low blood sugars after surgery. I use my insulin once in a great while. My dietitian gave me advice that if my blood sugar drops to drink watered down orange juice. When its watered down it doesn't upset my tummy as much. I also have glucose tablets with me when I'm out of the house.
  8. Wow, My husband and I have always had a solid relationship. After weight loss surgery I have found myself again. Besides the regained confidence I have become a genuinely happy person and I have found things that I am passionate about in life. Passion with my husband has definitely increased. We chase each other around like teenagers and have started dating again. My husband is my biggest cheerleader. Throughout the Bariatric process he has always believed in me. We are both beyond happy about the physical changes with WLS. The changes in my personality have blown him away. I have a positive drive for living life. I don't plan on wasting this amazing gift I have received from this process. My husband has made reservations for dinner on Valentines day. I have bought a hot little red dress for him. I am so fortunate to actually be in love with the man that has been in my life for 20 years.

This stall is kicking my butt!

@@ChronicJam Frustrating...right? It will break. I don't know of anyone who had a steady line of weight loss. Its more like stair steps. The weight will hang on for a while... then it will drop. go up a few at times then drop again. Work you're program. stay on track. It just takes time

    Sleep Study

@ My sleep study was the same as many have posted above. It was my neck and weight that caused me to stop breathing several time a night. After weight loss with my sleeve. I was able to get rid of the CPAP machine. Sleep is a wonderful thing now.

  17. @@haleyk It has been easy for me to cook for the family. They eat healthier. I make chicken or Steak fajitas. They have a tortilla I don't. I always make more than what the family will eat to freeze in small containers. Frozen left overs are a easy microwave lunch for me at work. Ground turkey chilly. I make a few corn bread muffins for the family I make sure they eat them all that night. I don't want to be tempted. banana slices with sugar free chocolate pudding(added Protein powder). I add a bit of sugar free caramel topping on the bananas. I chop up a sugar free toffee and nuts and sprinkle them on top Asian stir fry. I serve it with brown rice. I'm far enough out that I'm allowed brown rice. Anyway..There are many resources for bariatric friendly recipes. Try the world according to egg face.

    Excess Skin

@@CountryBumkin From a size 22 jeans to a size 3. I have worked out regularly after surgery(cardio and weight training)...... I still have the skin situation I am beyond happy with my WLS results. I have body issues to begin with form years of being obese. . It would help me be less self conscious to have plastics. The skin situation is really not as bad as I thought it would be. Body sharpers do help for now.
