My doctors office said two Flintstone children's chewable tabs a day. I take both of them in the am.

I live in the US but I am currently in Morocco, North Africa for 3 weeks. I have not been logging on My Fitness Pal as their food is very different and a lot of items do not even have a nutrition label. I am just winging it for these 3 weeks. I do not have a scale either so I will be curious how much I weigh when I get home.

You may not have been billed but call your insurance company or check your EOB statements and see just how much they are charging your insurance company for the scar cream. And make sure you do not have a maximum cap on meds from your insurance company cuz it can add up really quick!

As I understand, they are charging BIG bucks for the scar cream that goes along with the "free Vitamins and free Protein drinks". The pharmacy generally cannot charge your insurance for the drinks....it is an added bonus ALONG with the scar cream. Otherwise we would all go our LOCAL pharmacy and get our Protein Drinks for free.... That is my understanding.

My doctor said only if a drain is needed....but I did not have one.

My husband noted my dry skin yesterday on my arms and legs. But I have not been applying lotion either. Gotta get the lotion bottle out. I did have dry flaky skin around my abdominal incisions a week or so ago but it has went away on its own.
I restarted Body combat classes at the gym last week (4 weeks postop) but I have been skipping out of class when they get on the floor and sometimes do abdominal work. I will stay and try the last minutes of class soon. I am trying to build up my exercise stamina as it plummeted from not going to classes in such a long time in combination with the surgical and food changes.

I had my surgery with Dr Ballem one month ago. I highly recommend him. Office staff was wonderful. 2 night hospital stay was wonderful. I am a RN and thought everything was great! Even my PCP spoke highly of him and his staff.

Yes it is caffeine and sugar withdrawal. I felt much better on day 5 of my preop diet. Tylenol/Advil do not help my headache either.

I had a 2 week preop diet and lost 16lbs. The first 4 days of detox from caffeine and sugar was hard but day 5 and on was suprising easy! You can do it. I was not 100% accurate with my diet and the doc said my liver looked good so I was happy!

I have been cooking a lot of crock pot meals/soups. The family can eat it and I can mash mine up like a puree really easy as it is already soft. I just got a crock pot recipe book from the library to try new meals.

I have walked twice so far.... one mile at a time. I am not a walker. I like classes at the gym but have not restarted the classes yet. Maybe next week.

MFP would not let me add you. See if you can add me.

All steri strips have fallen off. Pretty much all of the pain is gone. I still have not gone back to the gym. I may do it next week. I have been meeting my Protein goals with Protein shakes. I am still having a hard time getting all of my fluids in.

I was going to post about this shake and I mix it with skim milk plus too.
It tastes like those Girl Scout Peanut Butter cookies! So good!

I forgot to add that my blurry vision had quickly developed into double vision. It was very scary.

I went to Morocco for 3 weeks when I was 8 weeks post op. I had no problem eating at all. I tried all sorts of "new" foods.
