Oatmeal? Who wants to make that small a batch?
You can make "overnight oats" in your fridge. They show them made in mason jars but any small container with a lid will work. You can even make enough for the week all at once then just grab them from the fridge each morning. The flavor combinations are endless. I cut the recipe in half because I can't eat as much as before. I also substitute Splenda for the sugar, and use almond milk instead of milk. They're cold, but you can warm them in the microwave. Many of the recipes call for chia seeds, but you can leave then out if you want. They do have quite a bit of protein in them (and no taste), so I leave them in. I cut the recipe in half because I can't eat a full serving. They're good for snacks too. Pinterest has hundreds of recipes. It's a great time saver. Pain after surgery
When I came out of surgery I had a pain pump, so no pain. They disconnected it the next day - still no pain. My abdominal area was a little sore for almost a week - sore like I'd done too many sit-ups. That was it. I was thrilled with the outcome.

Problems with protein
I'm careful about how much goes in, so that's not it. Are they harder to digest/take longer to digest maybe? Eggs are a little tough also, no matter how I prepare them.

Problems with protein
My sx was on Aug 25. Down 31 pounds. I can drink slowly so I get my protein shakes in. I can eat fish, shrimp, crab - goes I'm great with no problems. Beef, pork, and chicken - including eggs- not so much. I chew them to mush but then they feel like they're just sitting there. Heavy lump in chest, takes quite a while to go down. Vomited once after pork. Is this common at my stage? Does it improve later on?

1 week post op

ONE MONTH POST OP ! Share your stats AUGUST SLEEVES 2014
HW 290. Sw 290. Cw 262. Jacksonville, FL. Had a one week stall but the scale started moving again yesterday. Surgery date August 25 Height 5' 9 1/2". 55y.o. I'm thrilled. 28 pounds down. Problems: I can get the liquid and protein in, but im never hungry, but I have no appetite. Don't want to eat. I never feel hungry. It is uncomfortable to eat I sometimes, and then there's those damned nasty foul vitamins. But I'm working on it and doing very well. Right after the surgery in the hospital I just knew I'd made a horrible mistake - now I see that I made a wonderful decision.

The Stall
My sx was on Aug 25. Lost 24 pounds in the first three weeks, then had a stall for a week. Scale just started moving again and I'm at 28 pounds.

Postop pain

Heart rate
Not unsafe-fast, moderate exertion- fast. I didn't take my pule - should have. Maybe 50 percent increase over resting?
-
Heart rate
I recently started solid foods. Occasionally right after eating my heart rate speeds up. I can feel it. No sweating, nausea, vomiting - just faster heart rate. Is this normal? Does it mean I ate too much or too fast?
