I am 12 days in on my liquid pre op diet. After the first 3 days or so it got easier. I haven't cheated! I wanted to prove to myself that I could do it. For me it was important because I know that things are going to change in a big way and I want so badly not to fail this time. It's been hard. I've been cooking meals for my family and sitting down with them with a protein shake. I've sat through a crab boil with a glass of unsweetened tea to celebrate a friend. Wow was that hard! This was a personal challenge for me and I'm for once proud of myself. I do not judge anyone who did have a few things to eat. Each of us had to do this our own way. I had to prove this to myself as I have never really stuck to anything very long. God Bless you all!

My surgery is in 3 days!! I'm keeping busy canning tomatoes and pickles, picking blackberries for the freezer and things like that. Tomorrow is a fun day at the caverns with my 6 yr old Grandson and Thursday will be cleaning and canning more tomatoes! I am excited and have moments of nervousness and I am so ready to be on the "other side" of this!!! God Bess everyone having surgery this week!

I just came home from a crab boil, you know, crabs corn potatoes, sausages giant bowls of shrimp... What did I have? I glass of unsweetened tea. I'm on day 10 of my 15 day liquid pre- op diet . It smelled wonderful but I'm proud of myself for not cheating!

Hi LadyK! I too have surgery on 8-1! I am on 2 weeks of full liquid for my pre- op diet. Hope your week goes well and we will be starting our new journey soon!

My surgery is next Friday but I have 3 sizes of clothes in my spare closet and after I go through those I'm going to shop at Goodwill and thrift shops until I stablize. I will donate my clothes to Goodwill as I go!
