  1. I was really nervous too, but the doctor I saw put me right at ease and I actually enjoyed talking to him. Then I had the testing, one test had 105 true/false questions and the second had over 500. It wasn't bad , just took an hour or so to do.
  2. I was always the skinny kid! My mom took me to the doctor and complained that I was too skinny. He told her I was healthy not to worry. As a teen I was very active, I ran track, I ran every day. Once I was out of high school I wasn't as active. At 20 I got married in a size 5 gown. At 23 I got pregnant and so it began. I gained 60 lbs with that pregnancy, 60 pounds with my second pregnancy. I remember my OBGYN telling me that if I didn't quit gaining weight my husband would leave me for a skinny woman! He was so mean! Even tho I have tried almost every diet out there I didn't maintain the losses . So here I am at 267 lbs ready to take control again!
  3. I have my pre op appointment Thursday, I'm hoping to set a date then! I am excited and a little nervous! I'm so happy to have others to talk to who are going thru the same thing!
  4. Wow you look wonderful!
  5. Anyone here have kidney failure before surgery? I'm just wondering how the surgery affected your numbers. My nephrologist have me the go ahead for surgery and I'm waiting for my date . Hopefully I will get it on Thursday!
  6. I'm in Staunton, Va
  7. Thank you PdxMan, good advice!
  8. Thanks for your reply! I love this site also! I am trying to use my gym as a replacement also although I have knee problems so I am working the weights more than I do aerobics.
  9. Hi everyone! This is my first time posting but I have been lurking around since about April ! I finally have my pre op appointment on June 5! So my surgery should be within 30 days of that. My question is has anybody had trouble with referred addictions. I am a food addict and I'm hoping I won't refer my addiction to something just as bad for me. Anybody have any comments or suggestions? Thanks
