Oh yeah, I've got a few tips. Let me tell you how the seven days have gone for you.
Day 1: You don't feel much of anything. You just got out of surgery, you're on drugs, you can't move. You're aware of everything but it's not easy to get out of bed. They have you on the morphine drip so you really don't realize the pain you're in, but you're aware of one thing -- and that is the gas pain. You don't even understand how bad that is. It sits on your chest and it feels like you can't breathe -- and honestly, it feels like you're going to get a heart attack any time. And honestly, it doesn't pass, but you do get used to it.
Day 2: For me, it was the worst I ever felt. My stomach was really sore and I was in pain. The stitches hurt a lot, but the problem wasn't that. It was the exhaustion and my intense depression and regrets. I went through so much regret on that day. Wasn't a good day. That night -- my blood pressure sky rocketed.
Day 3: This is the day I went home, but I didn't feel a 100%. I was relaxed, was able to get a bit of Water in. As much as I could, which was like two small cups. =/
Day 4: Goddamn! I felt amazing! My pain wasn't as excessive as it could be. I wasn't that sore. I did pretty much everything myself with little help. I drank two bottles of Water, one Protein shake. Also the first day I was able to sleep on my side, which was like heaven for me. Walked about an hour and a half on the treadmill in ten minute intervals throughout the day.
Day 5: Felt even better than the day before. This is the day I really started to marvel at the wonder of the human body and shit, it's so amazing how good I felt. I had two rounds of my Protein Shake (70g), 2 and a half bottles of water. Walked for a total of an hour and thirty minutes in ten minute intervals on the treadmill.
Day 6: This was the first day of no sore, no pain, no bullshit. I felt like I had the day before going into surgery. I went to the salon, got my hair done. Then I went to the spa --- got a mani/pedi, + facial + eyebrow waxing. I felt pampered all around. <3
Day 7: I weighed myself in the morning and almost cried. Best day ever.

For me. It's been one week, I've been living off of photos of food and Protein shakes, and after seven days I weighed myself.
    Starting weight: 242
    WEEK ONE: 227

    Hiya musiclover,
I'm from the uk too... Been sleeved for nearly 3 years ( in July) and this was the best decision I've ever made!
I've lost and maintained just over 5 1/2 stone - I still want to lose more but my body seems to be happy here. I've tried all the diets going with no success, so like you surgery was the only way forward!
I'm sure you'll do great, especially as you've done so well in the past with weight watchers!
And check you out.... I've seen your surgeon on the telly and he comes across as such a gentle, kind and skilful man!
This is a great site for info and support... If you have any questions, just ask!

Hi, I have just joined too but I'm two weeks post op today. So far it has been a breeze as I was really lucky and didn't have any complications or weird side effects. The best advice I can give you is walk as soon as possible after surgery and sip sip sip Water to keep hydrated. I could only do water the first two days after surgery but I thing that gave my stomach a good break and after I was good with anything. I can already take bigger sips of water and eat slim fast, Soups and yogurt daily! Best decision if my life!
