I was nervous too but think of the reward in the long run. You will have your life back! Keep believing.

It is after surgery.

You all are so lucky! My doctor called this morning (Sunday) at 8:30! I knew what was coming. He told me that he was very sorry, but he made a mistake and I should be on full liquids for 4 weeks. He asked if I had eaten any soft foods and I had (yogurt and mashed potatoes). He said that since I had no problems with them I could add an occasional soft food but to keep it mostly to full liquids. :think If I stay on liquids for 4 weeks then I won't have to worry about the band because I will lose all 100 pounds by then!

I think that my doctor is so careful because I was only the second person that he did at this hospital (the first three were all done on the same day).

Mine recommends a few days of Clear Liquids after a fill but he is very conservative. He had us at clear liquids for 10 days after surgery and soft food for a full month.

I was banded on the 8th and my incision was nothing like you have. I had no bruising at all. Is the yellow you mention like bruising or actually coming out of the incision? You should call the doctor. I met with my doctor for the first time since surgery and he was actually surprised that I hadn't called him in that time period. Good luck.

Congratulations!
I got my band on June 8th and the only problem I have is that the doctor kept me on Clear Liquids for over 10 days. I was light headed and had only about 90 minutes of energy in me. Today I started soft foods. Yipee!

Congratulations! I too just got banded on Wednesday!

I am sorry that I came to this discussion so late but I was just banded two days ago! What a great discussion to read. I am wondering though about the golfball feeling - will I know it when I have it? Also, what does PB mean?
