  1. Hi Shantel, I had surgery on Monday. I felt the same way you did. Today's the first day I'm feeling better. Stay hopeful and take your pain meds. I really think that's what helped me. It relaxed my body so much.

Well, that is something I haven't been doing... not since Wednesday. Guess I will try taking some and see if that helps.

  2. my nutritionist was all for it and said she would help me through the rough parts with the diet and would be there if/when I needed her. i suppose i am lucky in that regard. i did always wonder if people would say something like "taking the easy way out"... but I decided a long time ago not to let what others think get to me. my decision, my health, and my life. period

  3. I am glad it's over too. I am post-op since Monday and I am still sore but it's getting better each day. I still can't sleep on my side. I really miss that. I am still having a lot of soreness on my left side where my port is and today I ran a fever so I'm not quite there yet. I still have to take the pain meds at night. That's when it hurts the most.

i am really only having pain from the gas I think. I did get to sleep on my side cuddled up to a pillow. that seemed to help. Hurts some when I try to cough, haven't taken any pain meds since yesterday around noon. i am just ready to be normal again. normal meaning get in the green zone. oh my... that sneeze hurt lol

  4. Good luck on your new journey! Remember to listen to your Dr., follow all instructions, eat right and exercise. I had my lap-band for 3 years now and I have lost 155 lbs. I went from a size 24 down to a size 6! It's a lot of hard work, but you have to do it to be successful! You can do it!!! Congratulations and good luck!

    thanks! you did so well!
