    Bugging myself out latly !

I haven't yet but I understand where you are coming from, I am down 70 lbs in 3 months and that is just insane to me in my head...I know it won't stay that awesome but it does make you think about what will I look like in 3 more months...or 6!! ha ha I am sure you are doing great!
  3. Then when it was done I started feeling bad for the people who had to answer these questions that they have an issue with it...Ha Ha!!

    1 MONTH OUT!

I am 3 months out and have no issues with salads. Great work on your weight loss so far!! The energy levels do get MUCH better!! my 3 yr old has to keep up with me now!
  6. Don't worry it's an easy peasy appointment. when you get there you will laugh at some of the rediculous questions that they ask...such as, I am afraid of the dark, I feel people are out to get me. I am certain you are not a nut case. I too was nervous and was just laughing at the series of questions that I had to answer. My test was split between 2 different computer tests, around 200 questions each but they are really silly easy questions that you don't need 100% attention to. I would be up front about any issues that you may foresee but I don't think that you will have an issue with it. A friend of mine had the sleeve surgery and she also has ADHD and is doing great! You will be fine!! Good Luck!

    Why hide it?

I was amazed at the amount of support I receive from everyone I tell. I am an Open book with my friends and family and I wanted everyone to know what was going on with me. if it makes them stop to think before offering me some candy it was worth it! Everyone has their own way of dealing with things.

    Hot tub?

    Mine said the same thing...

    Woman only please

Both of mine since surgery have been heavier than normal for me. I am not on BC but they have at least been regular so that's nice. didn't seem to last longer than normal, just heavier than normal. I am 3 months out so maybe it will change after awhile?

    August 11th!

Good luck everyone!! it will be great!
  11. I didn't go through this but what I was told and what I believe is this is NOT the easy way out. being 3 months post op there is nothing easy about this process. you have to be very calculated in everything you do. Getting the right amount of excercise, eating the right foods and enough of them, taking all of your Vitamins, drinking plenty of Water...it's not the easy way out although some people feel it is. You will keep the weight off as long as you think through all of your food choices...for instance, physically you can drink chocolate syrup but can you tell yourself not to? I know crazy exampe but it's the truth...good stuff in, good stuff out. I wish you the very best, Everything will go really great! My life is completely changed for the better and I never had one moment of regret!

    Terrified of failure!

Awake I don't even have a craving for soda so it's so weird that I dream about it. I am soooo happy I didn't crave it or chocolate for that matter. You are right too about the healthy habits, Old me I used to get lunch in the cafeteria EVERY day...new me, I pack my own food so I know what I am going to have and what is in it. I totally get what you are saying about the negative self talk too, I have been guilty of this but trying to pull the positive out of everything. I DO deserve this, I AM working hard for it and it IS going to be great and so am I!!
  13. So this is kind of crazy but for the past couple of nights I have had dreams of drinking a sip of a soda...I wake up in a panic and look around to make sure it wasn't real. I have been a sleep walker in the past so I was worried that I might of done something like this, turns out it was just a dream and no reality to it. Is anyone else weird like me and scared to fail? I am so happy and proud of myself to get to teh point that I am today, I will be so happy in 55 lbs to hit one-derland! I can't wait!! I have been making an effort every day to try to get to 10k steps in. Some days are better than others but I know I can do this! my 3 month anniversary was yesterday and I was down 66 lbs! what an anniversary present to myself! I wish everyone the best!

How much time off of work?

Well I must be a huge slacker. I took 6 weeks off but let me explain...I was never in any pain but the time to adjust to the new foods is what I was worried about. I wanted to make sure that I was on solid foods again before returning to my desk job because I am a stress eater and I know that if I was sitting all day and not able to eat anything normal that I might jinx myself. I agree with prior posters, you are EXHAUSTED for a few weeks after the surgery and this is a time you need to take for you. I don't feel bad about taking off 6 weeks, every day I got a little better and once I got back to work I was ready to dive in with my new ME!! What you feel is right is right. Take the time for you.

12 days out, what can I do?

depending on where the skin is and what you have been released for weight wise, you could start lifing weights, such as if it's arm skin, you can do arm routines, doesn't have to be heavy weights but curls or something like that would help...2-5 lbs to start and make sure nothing hurts.

    bike riding

We plan to get on our bikes here soon too!! we just moved so we need to find them and get air in the tires...the kids LOVE riding their bikes so it's time for momma and daddy to get on ours and go for a nice long ride!
  20. Before surgery I was told that it would take out a lot of the hunger that you feel before meals. I am happy to say that I can eat less and feel satisfied as I should after the surgery, however, I do still get hungry. I have tried drinking more Water, eating a cheese stick and that works, however, I don't want to snack... What have you guys done to succeed for those who still feel hunger?
  21. I can't believe how proud of myself I am! I feel great! I have tons of energy now!! I just had my 2nd follow up appointment 12 weeks out from surgery and I am down 65 LBS!! I have gone from pants size 24/26 to size 18, I had to go out and buy all new shoes because my old ones I was slipping around in! I even had to cut off a bunch of my belt (didn't want to buy a new one) so that it didn't look rediculous! I haven't had a bunch of pictures taken of me lately but I will post some of my current look as soon as I remember! I am just so excited at my new lease on life! Everyone at work and at home is so proud of me, it's amazing!! I still have a large amount of weight to go but I feel like the huge hurdle is already past! I am loving it! Best decision ever!
  22. Oh and this is funny too but you guys will understand...I went from Morbidly obese to just Obese!! woo hoo!! small wins huh? my BMI went from 47+ to 37 already! woo hoo

    Still hungry between meals?

That's what I had been doing as well but got my hand slapped for snacking on string cheese inbetween meals, I was told to only have 3 meals and no snacks...so I will have to figure something out. maybe a G2 instead of water would trick myself.
  24. Momof2inIowa

    Visual aid?

You could take a Weekly/Monthly picture of yourself and do a flip book of your loss!! I wish I would of thought of that 3 months ago! ha ha

    Fluids with meals

Just from my understanding drinking Water during or before eating will fill your stomach quicker and not allow you to get the nutrients that you need out of the meal. From personal experience if I eat and have a sip of water shortly after (not waiting the full 45 min) it feels like I am Overfull to the point where it's uncomfortable. I don't want to stretch anything out so I haven't pushed it,I generally wait. However, with that said, if I have having Soup or something I can have a few sips of water with that because that's really all that the soup is anyway. Just go with small portions and you need to retrain your brain that small portions are OK. Another thing to think about is eating S L O W L Y...the slower you eat the more your brain will receive the signal that you are getting full and that you should stop. I hope this helps! I am no expert, these are just what has wroked for me! I am about 2 1/2 months out from surgery and I am down 65 lbs so far so it seems to be working
